His vibrant live-sets deliver distinctly deep, synth driven industrial and acid techno, yet sometimes have a calm emo- tional spirit. The young artist keeps a delightful and unique mixture between melodies and sound textures, maneu- vering from light to shadow, from gentle to hard. He loves bold changes in mood while maintaining the powerful momen- tum of a rolling train. As a producer he made his first appearances on the french Industrial- & Acidtechno label „Kolkoz Records“ in 2014 and released his solo debut-EP „Otherworld“ on „Cirque du Mini- maliste“ in march 2018, followed by releases on „Eradys Re- cords“, „Ohne kommerziellen Wert“, “Illegal Alien”s sub label „Vector Functions Records“ and previously the Berlin based vinyl label “Space Trax”, just to name a few. As a DJ and live-act, Lifka played at numerous leading clubs, such as ://about blank, Griessmuehle (Berlin), PAL, Golden Pudel Club (Hamburg) and made his debut in Paris in May 2019.

Vixen joins for DifferentSound Podcast #155.

Vixen is a Bulgarian-born Copenhagen-based DJ and producer and one of the fastest rising talents to sprout from the Danish capital’s vibrant underground techno scene. Since 2017 she has been gaining momentum both locally and internationally as a member of the renowned DIY collective Fast Forward. Her DJ style can be described as the high energy contact point between playful trance-inspired melodies, tongue-in-cheek vocals and floor-destroying drum grooves. In parallel she is also continuously developing her sound as a producer with already several strong releases behind her.

Bio :

Staryk – DJ, collector and promoter of music from Gdynia, Poland. Surrounded by music since his early
years starting with the long, arduous years with classic guitar and drums.
Inspired by music vision created by labels such as SKeleven, KSR, Key Vinyl or Hayes. Combines fast
paced, percussive, techno with various textures and deep, hypnotic vibe.
As a passionate digger he also promotes the sound of talented, underground, artist who are not
published by any of the labels yet. On the scene since 2019 when he played his first DJ set for wide
audience on Gdańsk shipyard.
Since then, he has an opportunity to regularly present his techno vision playing vinyl and digital sets,
either live on stage or publishing mixes for Polish and international music platforms.
As a member of Polish Techno.logy label he is responsible for promoting latest releases of independent
electronic music. He is also one of the players from PPL showcase crew which organizes events in legal
and “less legal” manner around north, seaside, Polish area.

For more than 25 years, Marco Bailey has been a prominent techno figure with his music landing on labels like the great Primate imprint, Carl Cox’s Intec, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, and even John Digweed’s Bedrock.

His most recent addition to an already remarkable heritage is the high-calibre label and events series called MATERIA. In the upcoming release, the bossman himself returns for another appearance on the project in 2024 with his latest four-track collection called the Morph EP.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Infinite Bunker” with an intriguing and thundering intro. Stuttering drums and a constant kick lay the road, before stabbing chords add a touch of depth to the driving rhythm. The modulating bass opens out for a couple of intense crescendos that are sure to whip any dance floor into frenzy with its powerful and particular frequency bending.
