Considering the man, my good friend, Matthew Brown, who wrote, sung, and played bouzouki on this track passed away on October 9th, I believe it is time to share this song in a meaningful way with the world. This song, after obsessively analyzing the lyrics, the process Matt and I went through to create this track, the pain, the hundred or so hours we spend drinking and arguing over how to record, translate, process this song from our minds into reality... all of this is an experience, a memory that I only now hold in my minds eye. Matthew spoke a lot about death in his lyrics, this one in particular is pregnant with so much personal meaning and truth that it pains me in the extreme to write this out, but it is necessary to the grieving process. It is my sincere desire and hope that this song finds it's way into as many hearts as possible.
