Dans une vallée aux 9 soleils, naquit l’éternité. Elle bâtit un passé oublié dans les cendres de minuit. Les feuilles tombèrent jusqu'à l’hiver de ces pétales gelés. Mon purgatoire n'était pas la gloire d'une victoire qu'elle voulait avoir. Ces moments où le temps passe et fige le temps de ces feuilles de cendres dans une pellicule. Elle marchait pour chercher une vérité qu'elle seule pouvait trouver. Comme une liberté vers un long ruisseau qui coule autour de la putréfaction d’êtres végétaux qui se font raser par millier pour construire des immeubles condamnés à être abandonnés Elle s’affolait quand je criais, elle hurlait quand elle n’avait pas ce qu'elle voulait. Elle finissait par être dans ce couplet à force de voyager dans mes pensées. Je n'arrivais pas à expliquer pourquoi elle n'existait qu'à travers le temps. Elle transcendait chacun d'eux parmi les cieux d'un monde sans feu bleu, elle brûlait dans un froid intense et incompris de son âme. Une cantatrice si belle et où certains rapaces venaient lui faire la cour. Peut-être dans cette année de démence, elle finira par voir les couleurs du feu d'un abîme qui s'enterre avec le temps. D’une beauté dans laquelle je ne verrais pas la couleur de ces moisissures qui essayent de regarder la nuit sous tous ces yeux.

Atomic Cataract is a creative  project bringing together songs written over a 3 year period by Adam Smallwood and Ryan Morse.  Themes range from Insomnia, dystopian worlds and social dysfunction with tracks typically starting as hour-long jams which are recorded then cut down, re-arranged and re-written before adding vocal parts.

All tracks are recorded at HP Studios in Ringwood and feature studio musicians Harrison Perks & Andy Smooth.



Multi-instrumentalist based in Sydney.

Most of my work is a mix of progressive rock/metal and post-rock, with occasional sprinkles of folk motives. But really, it's all about creating a certain atmosphere within the tunes.
