It came out pretty good I think. I tried to create a Prophet 6 patch which was a bit bell-like and would give a dreamy atmosphere. It performed great. 

The Matriarch also plays its (her?) part. Vocals were added later but didn't add too much, just a nice filler.

Jam 061 Melodic Techno - Don't Ever Let Go

Sometimes it happens, the sounds just take you in a direction. I've learned to just go with the flow and this time it took me to a more trancy vibe. As I was constructing and preparing the jam, the more it felt like those old trance classics from the 90s and early 00s. So I went with it.

It's obviously not exactly the same, but I think it approaches it. Let me know what you think.

Jam 064 Trance classic jam - "The Awakening"

This time I'm weaving somewhat more in the range of melodic techno like Afterlife, Anyma, Tale of Us, etc. Still keeping a, in my opinion, fuller sound with more layers going on. 

Gotta use 'em all 😝.

Jam 065 Melodic Techno - Love Like You

This was maybe not for everyone following me, but it shure was fun for me.

New additions to the studio. I'm doing pedals now. This was just a quick setup, I'm working on a patchbay type construction where I can route my pedals freely without much cable work. But for now I tried the Eons Five-state Fuzz on the Behringer Edge wich I had create a kick.

Jam 067 Melodic Techno - Would You Save Me

Part 2 of the Prophet 6 through the Microcosm. I have the levels somewhat more the way I want it, and the result is here. I again used the  Eons five state Fuzz on the Edge. 

There is a little more sounddesign in post production here, most notably a copied snareroll 😅. I think this is one of my best masters so far. I'm learning every week. Music is fun!

Some nice analog goodness with all kinds of beautiful sounds as well as a driving kick. I also snuck some hihat loops in, don't tell anybody.

Anyway, I tried my hands again at some AI voice. To be honest, a bit scary because it weren't just some random words but something I acutally wrote (a poem?).

Jam 069 Melodic hardtechno - Stil

Amongst all the sounddesign options with pedals, VST's and all kinds of stuff, just moving the modulation for the cutoff on the MS-20 takes the center stage. 

This seems to be a returning theme, thinking you would use a certain element as the main theme and halfway something else takes over because the music demands it.

Jam 070 Melodic Techno - Deeper

Back to a more droning / sustained sound. The Edge through the Walrus Audio Fuzz provides a heavy low end which pumps after the break.

This one got my head banging. The vocal adds a very nice touch but the real stars are of course the synths and drummachines.

Jam 071 Melodic Techno - Don't You Leave

It seems I found 'my sound'. This is I think the 3rd jam using the Edge through the fuzz pedal. I might change it up next week. Too bad I haven't got my patchbays installed yet, so it will have to be some cable rerouting.

Anyway, got some new lights, new Lego set, new sounds. All in all a good day.

Jam 072 Melodic Techno - Set Me Free

In the middle of re-doing all my lighting, I couldn't get the spots working on time. There is likely a transformer hidden in the ceiling somewhere by the previous owner which doesn't work with my new Hue lights, I have to check with a multimeter later this week. 

On the musical front, still not done with the current pedal chain. A lot of arps, quick ones too. It hits pretty hard, so there is a lot of overlap between genres. The only things not recorded live are the fx and the vocal.
