Samhain...

"The Endless City new capital of the Grand Empire of Concordia is alight tonight in shades of red and neon blue as an endless crowd gathers in Imperial Square beneath the giant statue of the God Emperor himself and engulfed in his ever present shadow. The vast pixelated TITAN-TRON screen flickers into life displaying the seven pointed star complete with the Imperial symbol of the White Horse at it's center. 

"Trust in the star" it pronounces to the massed denizens who in turn cheer and chant and begin to wroth with ecstasy before the central stage of tonight's pageant as strange music begins to play. 

The symbol of the Raven fades into view on the mammoth screen... cries of "Bring out the dead!" are heard as the willing bunny and kitsune masked sacrifices are brought forth to the stage - a constructed leviathon in waiting, unsettlingly huge and already seeming to pulsate with it's own lifeforce... existent gentle rhythmic swaying amongst the revellers escalates slowly... building to all manner of dance... bodies entwine... violence and love are one... scratches... bites... 

The sacrifices on display are marked, slashed three times each with the mark of the Fox... their blood splattering into the delighted and aroused crowd... dripping bloodied knives held aloft... naked bodies of cultists in the audience brush sensually against armed warriors of the Host, and the gibbering Priests of Echo alike as the bass from the music hits for the first time... and then ... the drop ... 

The beautiful, unearthly, Queen of Rats rises slowly with supernatural elegance from her throne positioned on a high balcony above the strobing macabre dance floor... she raises and then drops her hand in a swift, well practised, and well understood gesture... blades fall on the stage ... the dead have died... the foxes howl and purr and fuck... 

The Demon flicks a half done cigarette from his roof terrace and into the crowd far below... Samhain has begun..."
