Aleksandra Słyż is a composer, sound designer, and sound engineer. She is fascinated by interactive and multimedia art. In her music, she looks for connections between the human body, sound, and technology. Her works presented so far have been in the United States and Europe.

Aleksandra Słyż's debut album "Human Glory" has a dual nature. Intense and very emotional experience, built by layering, thickening, and intensifying drone parts of synthesizers (MG), intertwines with recordings created using motion sensors (BG), which created the sound recording of the choreography. Słyż is not afraid to lead the listener along winding paths - through silence and intricate details fragments of sound design, to massive, tectonic walls of sound. The precise logic of the composition naturally blends with intuition, and the album's narrative freely leads the listener from the microscale of the smallest particles of the world to epic film panoramas.

ORAMICS ma zaszczyt przedstawić utwór z debiutanckiego albumu Aleksdandry Słyż, wydanego w Pointless Geometry.

Aleksandra Słyż to kompozytorka, sound designerka, realizatorka dźwięku. Fascynuje się sztuką interaktywną i multimedialną. W swojej muzyce szuka połączeń między ludzkim ciałem, dźwiękiem i technologią. Jej prace prezentowane do tej pory były w Stanach Zjednoczonych i Europie.

Debiutancki album Aleksandry Słyż  “Human Glory” ma dwoistą naturę. Intensywne i bardzo emocjonalne doświadczenie, budowane przez nawarstwiające, gęstniejące i intensyfikujące się dronowe partie syntezatorów (MG), przenika się z nagraniami stworzonymi z wykorzystaniem sensorów ruchu (BG), dzięki którym powstał zapis dźwiękowy choreografii. Słyż nie boi się wieść słuchacza krętymi ścieżkami - przez ciszę i pełne kunsztownych detali fragmenty sound designu, aż do masywnych, tektonicznych ścian dźwięku. Precyzyjna logika kompozycji w naturalny sposób przenika się z intuicją, a narracja albumu swobodnie prowadzi słuchacza od mikroskali najmniejszych drobinek świata, do epickich filmowych panoram.

We’ve said it before but will say it again, We really appreciate the opportunity that curating a mix series give us to contact artists whose work we enjoy and invite them to create something new for the Transmissions Series. The 15th mix in the series come from Russian artist and musician, Anastasia Tolchneva (Анастасия Вадимовна Толчнева), who performs as Lovozero. 

Lovezero is a bold new voice from the Russian electronic scene who works at the intersection of sound, technological and performance practices. Lovozero’s music is intensely emotional, Devastating and beautiful. Her Debut album ‘Moroka’ came out on Russian imprint ‘Full of Nothing’  in 2017 and followed it up with the incredible ‘Descend’ which came out on KlammKlang earlier this year.

Evil House Party is the new project of Emma Acs & Jacob Formann (Communions, Mini Esco), initiated after playing a string of shows together with First Hate in the summer 2019.

Their sound can be described as messy, dark and vibrant but somehow still captures the restless summer of swimming in the harbour and endless partying that was the time the band was created. It’s rich in attitude in a way that can be familiar with both rock n’ roll and eurodance.

The debut single ‘Wicked’ features a modern murderous ballad fleshed out in a bittersweet revenge pop anthem.

“Névoa” is the latest beguiling mutation from the Brazilian producer Naves Cilíndricas, in which his shape-shifting sound design skills come to the fore as an ever-morphing, hyper-modern feature that never shies away from its highly affective if not androgynous pathos; beneath its multicolored digital simulacrum, one can still find traces of human vocalizations next to fragmented robotic speech. Its ultra-stylized tones and somewhat percussive ghostly presence should perhaps be perceived more as sonically sculpted environments where one can navigate and drift through rather than tracks per se.

At times melancholic and ethereal and by the same token hermetic and noisy, his melodic arrangements composed of digitally generated timbres and hyper-processed vocals simultaneously evoke dystopic images and videos in an attempt to extrapolate the limits between body, sound, and image.
