As soon as it begins, it is easy to tell that the singer/songwriter is interested in steering her listeners towards a mental posture of self-determination. Throughout the experience, and with a sense of purpose, Jah9 recites words previously uttered by the well-known characters of Haile Selassie I and Marcus Mosiah Garvey as well as those spoken by a much less recognized leader, Walter Rodney, who was banned from Jamaica due to his liberation activities.
 
The nine tracks of this absolutely free download are lyrical bullets aimed directly at youngsters who will benefit from the guidance provided. The entire experience is peppered with the voice of Rory StoneLove, who actively promotes Jah9's message music as a critical sound of the future. This new collab brings two different versions of six tales that denounce modern times in its brutal forms. 12 tracks questioning economical and political systems, with a sharp look at today's human values.
The first part of the story is told by Dub Shepherds with Jolly Joseph and Dr. Charty at the mixing desk, inspired by the jamaican studio works of the late 70's era.
Second part has a different approach, both lyrically by Ivan Jah's deep dub poetry and mix-wise with J.A.H.N.O's experimental dub style at its fullest.

Kumar, ex-Raging Fyah lead singer, met Fruits Records crew back in 2016, when he invited them to play with I Kong at his Wickie Wackie festival in Bull Bay, Jamaica. From then, the musical friendship never stopped, doing different types of collaboration over the years. His unique voice tone, breathe-taking vocal abilities and songwriting skills make Kumar one of the greatest singers of his generation, as his nomination at the Grammy awards 2016 with Raging Fyah can testify. "Message In Your Radio” brings a different taste to Fruits Record's catalog, noticeably more modern than the previous releases. Kumar's melancholic melodies enhance this powerful riddim played by The 18th Parallel with conscious lyrics: Message in the music is a must, today more than ever. Anthem for radio stations!
