This compilation features magical contributions from all corners of the Balearic world, including Fuga Ronto’s “Greatest Treasure,” FSQ and Tom Moulton’s sunshine reggae jam “This Is Caribbean Disco,” and ultra-yacht rock dub from Chas Bronz & Pery Whitelee.
Sonic Soul Orchestra’s “Sueno Latino” (Yam Who?’s 3am Eternal Mix) transports listeners to the early '90s after-hours club scene, while David Dingess offers spaced-out boogie (Toni Rossano edit). Additionally, Japanese duo Cruisic delivers a chugging remake of Todd Terje’s masterpiece “Inspector Norse, whilst rounding off the soiree is Jaegerossa’s funky spacejam ‘The Buzz’.

cHUCk dA fONk here. I just came out of the studio putting down more on a track here from fONKSQUISh and jazz icon Prince Lasha ( who you may know from his work with Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Sonny Simmons, Ornette Coleman and more ).

The song is called "Congo Calling Revisited (Short Prince Lasha Edit)". It is a reinterpretation of Prince Lasha / Sonny Simmons' song "Congo Call" from the album "The Cry!" (1962):

George Clinton's nephew Sa'd 'The Hourchild' Ali (Sa'D Ali) and Chuck ‘Da Fonk’ Fishman met in the mid-’90s as touring members of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. With the addition of 8-time Grammy-nominated producer G Koop the trio became FSQ, a production team committed to creating original funk of supreme quality.

In the years to follow, Boston-based guitarist Chas Bronz, Philadelphia drummer One Era, and New York audio engineer Morgan Wiley joined FSQ. You’ll find the majority of their original songs and remixes on Soul Clap Records along with FSQ’s 2020 Reprise Tonight - the group’s debut LP. Presented as a tale of having one last party in the span of 24 hours,  features guest appearances from funk royalty, including George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Nona Hendryx, Fonda Rae, Denise King, and Dolette McDonald. In 2022, FSQ released a funked-up remix album for their debut record, aptly titled Reprise Reprise Tonight. This jam-packed album features 16 remix turns on the OG cuts by Tom Moulton, Ray Mang, Birdee, DJ Rocca, Lee Curtiss + more.
