Alland Byallo delivers his ‘Full Light Shine’ EP via his own Full Bleed imprint this March, comprised of two original soul-drenched grooves.
L.A born now Berlin-based producer, DJ, and label owner Alland Byallo has been making his mark on the contemporary house scene over the past two decades with releases on the likes of Housewax, Rawax, RealTone, Third Ear and of course his own Full Bleed imprint where he returns here with his latest EP. After spending time as a party promoter with his acclaimed California event series KONTROL and touring the globe as a DJ since the turn of the millennium, Alland has now shifted focus towards honing his craft in the studio and his work as a visual artist, Byallo has also been heavily contributing to electronic music’s design world for over twenty years.
Here with his new ‘Full Light Shine’ EP, Alland offers up two tracks fusing influences of broken beat, downtempo, house, jazz and more. Opening the release is ‘Karma Beach’, laid out across six and a half
minutes with wandering keys, bubbling synth licks, airy Rhodes chords and a dynamic, organically unfolding drum groove throughout.
‘Reflect, Rotate’ follows next and retains a similarly off-kilter approach rhythmically while bringing a more electronic feel with the melodic elements, fusing acid-tinged bass licks with swirling resonant lead lines, soft, hypnotic pads, and hooky vocal chants.
