In their first solo EP, BRF delivers a set of 4 tracks that have groove as their most powerful force. With an aura of mystery, the EP develops in an exploratory tone, bringing multiple references rigorously tied, with emphasis on the influence of dub on basslines and extremely sharp drums, with explicit references to breakbeat, jungle, funk and dubstep. It translates into the songs a rush of urban art that is very serious, but always relaxed. Finished at Sabará Rec., recording company in the North Zone of Porto Alegre, territory that marks the trajectory of BRF and brings the concept that drives the EP.

There are many forces involved in creating this world of aural enjoyment that moves us in both mysterious and mundane ways, but they are mainly conjured in a very specific place where the one in the booth and those on the dancefloor come together. Thus, being a part of it implies openness, of minds and hearts, from everyone involved, and this is what turns a festive environment into a fantastic experience that won't ever leave us, as the memories and feelings created therein are deeply ingrained in ourselves. Knowing how to foster and play with these occasions is what we sets some DJs apart, a quality that is borne out of experience but mainly yielded by sheer talent, which is why is so impressive that such a young selector as Kenya can manage to bring forth these magical moments not only with so much consistency but with the intensity that became characteristic of her sets. These are felt as sonic juggernauts and emotive jaunts at the same time, with their percussive power and melodic strength deeply intertwined through dense musical narratives. The result is always an enthralling mesh of sounds and feelings that captures us and won't leave us until its very end. The same energy that fuels this mix and will feed us at the Déjá Vu stage of Festival Não Existe.
