Founded April Fools’ Day 2009, drummer Nick Amarant began writing and recruiting members for his ambitious 7-piece power/progressive metal dream band: Wonderbeast.
Based in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Wonderbeast currently comprises two guitarists, Francis McKenna, Oliver Djurasovic,, keyboardist , and drummer Nick Amarant, who have been with the band since as early as mid 2010, to as recent as early 2013.
Since their beginning, Wonderbeast has gone through a few line-up changes, most notably, the change in Nick’s role in the band from front man/vocalist (in 2010) to full-time drummer (from 2011-present), in the wake of the sudden departure of their original drummer in 2011. Since then, the band has been struggling to maintain and complete their line-up, but remain focused and intent to return to the live scene once again in a brand new capacity.
With a wealth of original material already written, but without the band members they need, it is for the band just a matter of time until they can play again live.
