With "Let the Good Times Roll," SoCal Electro/Soul/Funk duo Crush Effect have transformed Earl King's classic "Come On (Let the Good Times Roll)" by incorporating an arrangement of speaker-rattling basslines and buzzing electronic effects. Different from previous covers by Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, among others, the chorus is soaked in auto-tune and loops as a repetitive mantra atop a plethora of synthesizers, scattered drums, and multi-layered guitar riffs. Debuted at Coachella's Do Lab stage, "Let the Good Times Roll" is being released for free download and for purchase on iTunes, premiering via The Dankles.

After countless hours spent chopping up vinyl, laying down basslines, tweaking synthesizers and banging on drum pads I'm proud to present "I'm Gone". This album aims to bring back the soulful sounds of the past while maintaining a bass-heavy modern feel. I'm especially happy with two tracks on the album which feature my friend Willdabeast (of Snug Harbour and Michal Menert Big Band). Will laid down some soulful horns, flute and a few other instruments to take my sample-based beats to the next level. The Mod Spreads In Our Minds

The album is a mastered recording of the band’s performance at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on April 21st, 2018. The ‘Live at Red Rocks’ set contains three unreleased tracks, treating listeners to their live versions before the studio recordings are officially released. The album starts with the trio taking the stage with fan favorites “Deluxe” and “Pablito” before diving into a 3-part metamorphosis “Caterpillar” > “Chrysalis” (unreleased) > “Night Moth” (unreleased). Additional surprises in the set include a SunSquabi extended band featuring additional instrumentation from Nicholas Gerlach (Saxophone), Will Trask (percussion), Eric Luba (keys), Leah Druzinsky (vocals) and Darryl Abrahamson (Trumpet) on the tracks “Cinnamon”, “Just A Little”, and “Pygmy Up”.

SunSquabi will be releasing “Chrysalis” and “Night Moth” this summer leading up to a full EP in Fall 2018. Keep an eye out for the new music and catch them at festivals all over the country this Summer.
