This is the 83th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. The monthly released session brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This month Synthbiont & Anassimandruspresents there latest mixtape on the Ambient Sessions serie.

Bio
Synthbiont & Anassimandrus is the new ambient/experimental project born at the end of 2018 by the collaboration between Nicolò Faggiani and Tommaso Gobbo.
Their musical background comes from different musical experiences as DJs, vinyl collectors, and founders of two web-radios dedicated respectively to electronic music and dub-reggae.
Nicolò and Tommaso's project was developed to research the deepest ambient atmospheres, creating musical journeys where the listener can immerse itself in a parallel sound universe.
The idea behind the mixing and the mastering process is to elaborate on different digital and analog sources, editing field recordings, samples, and creating a unique soundscape.

Ambient Sessions # 83 - Synthbiont & Anassimandrus

A longstanding leader in contemporary electronic music, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Steve Roach (born 1955 in La Mesa, California) drew on the beauty and power of the earth's landscapes to create lush, meditative soundscapes influential on the emergence of ambient. Inspired by the music of Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, and Vangelis and by the Peter Weir film The Last Wave, Roach journeyed to the Australian outback, with field recordings of aboriginal life inspiring his acknowledged masterpiece, the double-album Dreamtime Return. 

After relocating to the desert outskirts of Tucson, Arizona, Roach established his own recording studio, Timeroom, and in the years to follow grew increasingly prolific, creating both as a solo artist and in tandem with artists including Robert Rich, Michael Stearns, - in all, close to two dozen major works in the 1990s alone, all of them located at different points on the space-time continuum separating modern technology and primitive music.

The 5th element known as space or aether is the material that fills the region of the universe beyond the terrestrial sphere. Integrating experimental techno, actual samples from deep space radioscopy (specifically recordings of pulsars), and spoken words by Dr. Frank Drake (a senior scientist with the SETI Institute).  While Project Phoenix scanned about 1,000 stars all within 200 light years, the distance away from Earth makes the travel even further to Proxima Centauri, Ophiuchi & Omega Nebula.

Music for spaceports explores ethereal sounds, with a low key drone-ish approach to ambient. After assembling nearly 300 tracks, I trimmed the playlist down to 70-80 tracks with a final cut of 40 tracks in almost 3 h 00. It's music you can sleep to, work at the same time or study, with a keen emphasis on calm and soothing atmospheres & soundscapes. Carefully curated over the course of several months, I hope this mix brings you peace  adrift in Space in a state of weightlessness & mindfulness.
