In the early 1990s, Warp became associated with the UK's northern bleep techno scene, including acts such as LFO, Sweet Exorcist, Forgemasters and Nightmares on Wax. The 1992 label compilation Artificial Intelligence helped establish the electronic subgenre known as intelligent dance music (IDM). Subsequently, Warp became the home of influential acts such as Aphex Twin, Autechre, Squarepusher, and Boards of Canada.

British electronic label Warp was founded by Steve Beckett, Rob Mitchell  (RIP 2001), and Robert Gordon, Warp (originally to be named Warped, but shortened for communication ease, and later expanded by the backronym "We Are Reasonable People"), is one of the world's most respected, influential, and loved electronic/experimental dance labels of all times. After many years in Sheffield, UK, they later moved to and are based in London, UK.

Bleep.com, Warp's digital music sales site, was also pioneering in being amongst the first to provide high-quality variable bit rate MP3s for sale (later FLAC and other lossless formats). 

To commemorate the 35 years anniversary of the label, I made this mix of some of their lesser known classics, remixes and their influences. I am aware this ain't easy to listen, some of these tracks, like Pathfinder are quite experimental but it's Warp! 3 h 29 minutes mix and 45 tracks.

I am a music curator and a selector, a record collector and a mixologist since 1999. I started listening and buying electronic music in 1991 at 14 years old, first The Orb, early Warp records & R & S :) Afterwards, I became a DJ in chill-out rooms in the 1990's.  From then on, I hosted radio shows from 1999 to 2009. Resident DJ at Le Cosmos and Boudoir from 2002 until 2012. 

I still play live but no longer a resident in lounges/clubs.

Music I like : ambient, techno, downtempo,  deep house, Detroit Techno, IDM, funk, electro & dub-tech.  As well as Krautrock, jazz, dub, trip-hop and hip-hop.
