Hailing from Argentina and now gradually becoming a part of Barcelona's vibrant nightlife, @imox_x has put together a mind-bending mix for our next podcast episode. Born in Argentina, but living most of her life in the Canary Islands and currently residing in the city of Barcelona, Imox entered the world of mixing during her adolescence, learning by herself, experimenting with different genres until she found her current sound in the organic and hypnotic elements of Deep Techno.

Imox is a Mayan Nahuatl, it represents the divinity or essence of the universe, the  root from which all life arises and returns when it dies; and this is how her sessions develop, an organic evolution like the process of life itself. Her sound transports us to the calm atmospheres and natural landscapes of her childhood island, accompanied by hypnotic grooves, tribal elements and cosmic textures, a constant journey through unknown landscapes with  overwhelming intensity.

Shelley, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun.
Known for her deep hypnotic sets, filled with organic sounds and dubby and driving atmospheres, her cultivating frequencies and understanding are reflected.
Shelley left her mark on such platforms as Diffuse Reality, Indefinite Pitch, Deepinic, to name a few and recently for Aura Production and Unknown Timeline.
She is also mixing her own mix series called Secret Place available on her SoundCloud.

Most know for deep atmospheres, hypnotic elements as well as some ominous and driving sounds in between. 
Resident of the Art Bei Ton event series in Berlin focused on visual arts mixed with techno, ambient and experimental music.

Ephemeral Distance was started in 2020 by Yorgos Kourtis as an alternative way of approaching others and understanding himself.
For him, techno music is a means of communication, a way to travel into space-time, a starting point for an evolution process.
His style is atmospheric, deep and hypnotic techno with powerful dark soundscapes, constant rhythms, and overwhelming trancelike, groovy and darkwave intervals – characterized by exquisite musical taste and capable of arousing countless strong

Kalumet [Marsalforn / Malta]

Kalumet (aka Ork Monk aka Trevor McGregor aka Arboraetum aka Tiger Punch) is Zoltan Vajda from Hungary.
One of the oldschool master of storytellers of the psychedelic trance scene. He got involved in the mid 90’s, early enough to see the spreading of trance worldwide, to witness its transforming through the 00’s to our present time. Considering this kind of possession of psychedelic experience, one can never be in doubt to have a very special time when he is playing, be it live act or DJ set.

His musical history goes back to late 80’s, when he grabbed his first accords on the guitar. The bass guitar came in a few years later, and his world of sounds slowly got a shape, influenced by Joy Division, The Clash, Suicidal Tendecies / Infectious Grooves, L.A. Style, The Overlords, U96, Kraftwerk, Front Line Assembly, Yello, Gabor Szabo, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Korai Öröm, Hardfloor, Emmanuel Top, the Ninja Tunes like Herbalizer and Coldcut, Morcheeba, then Green Nuns Of The Revolution, Quirk, X-Dream, Four Carry Nuts, the Matsuri, Dragonfly and Spirit Zone releases, Audio Active, Black Star Liner, Korsakoff, then in the beginning of the last decade, by early Iboga, ZMA, CreamCrop, Disham and Son Kite, and maybe most of all, the traditional / folk music of the whole world.

Having a wide musical culture like this, he never kept his imagination on a short leash. In fact, he is mostly known from his unmistakable manner of creating free-form fusion dance music. Since his first remix in 1998 until this 2023, he released more than hundred tracks on many labels from Chi Recordings through Navigare Audio, Fur:ther Sessions, Kagdila, Psylife Music, BrainBusters to Horns And Hoofs, Random Records or Sangoma, he represents a very wide range of styles.

Van Morph is a restless spirit that has been around since the early 90's as a clubber but also as a listener. In the mid 90's his love for electronic music brought him close to the desire to learn the art of DJing. With this initiation, he officially began his journey in the field of the music industry. He is Co-Owner / Founder of the recordlabels Khoros Records, Eurynome Records and Chronos Records, continues to this day to share his musical concerns since music for him is a way of life, a choice that has determined to this day his course so far. His style changes and reshapes from time to time and that does not make him boring.
His music is characterized by dancing bass lines and psychedelic accompaniments while other times his dub mood with various percussions and melodies show the other side of him.

TSUNIMAN's spellbinding trance, spacey techno, and progressive psy delights are bound by layers of the quirky and ethereal.
A moodier soundtrack for when the lights go low, TSUNIMAN's sound alchemy blends dark hypnotic elements with bright vibrations, creating otherworldly soundscapes that captivate the senses. For the past three years, they have been a resident at Klub Verboten, an alternative play party hosted in London and Berlin. After an unforgettable b2b set at Field Maneuvers festival in the Summer of 2023, they started running their party with Miro SundayMusiq - Saturday Club* - an intimate club night centred around the notion of community and supporting grassroots venues.
Their eclectic selections — often spanning 90s psychedelic trance and throbbing hypnotic techno — have earned them guest shows on numerous local and international radios, such as Rinse FM, Balamii, Noods, Radio80k, and Radio DY10. Over the last few years, they have shared the stage with the likes of Len Faki, Dasha Rush, HAAi, and LOLSNAKE, to name a few. Venturing beyond borders, they have played at renowned French clubs Macadam and Rex Club, as well as Berlin's underground favourites OHM and Club OST. Within the dynamic London techno scene, TSUNIMAN has become a regular at FOLD, performing at multiple editions of the captivating UNFOLD party. Debuting on Boiler Room with an energetic closing set earlier this year, you can be sure there will be plenty more opportunities to hear them perform.

Lindsey Wang, also known as Polygonia (@polygonia), is a versatile art and music project based in Munich, Germany. Her preceding intensive and long practice playing several instruments as well as the experiences with other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into the digital musical language. Biocym is an artistic project from southern Italy that seeks to awaken emotions by expressing its feelings towards reality and the use of atmospheres and scenarios reflected in its sound. The main nucleus of his work reflects the attitude that man must embody in order to move in a dark and inscrutable reality that he must face when he inevitably explores it.
Biocym represents the way in which the artist approaches the way of awakening in himself by contemplating the infinite variety of landscapes of reality and proposes his progressive deepening. His music is the meeting point of his two influences: natural sounds and those other sounds generated by his creativity.

It has been a while since we uploaded a liveset. @milenaglowacka is not a DJ. For our 47th upload she used nothing but own creations and composed it into an hour of deep bliss.

Milena Glowacka is a Polish techno producer currently living in Reykjavík, Iceland. Labels she released on are @semantica-records, @deliriorecordings and @vanity-pill. Earlier this week @monument-podcast premiered her latest original track, Illusion, on @accentsrecords.

Almost a year has passed since the first lockdown. Even after a gigless year and without a clear outlook, we can only look at the bright side of things. Covid-19 made room for the studio. Milena is premiering her latest productions in this liveset.
