This is the second edition of our debut release in 2009. Compiled by DJ's and best friends Hamish & Bedouin, they have been searching across land and sea for the past year to find the best of progressive to bring to you! Every festival stone has been looked under, every studio investigated and every beat analysed to bring you the freshest in electronica delights!

We have gone beyond the traditional 'CD' format for this release, which will be 12+ tracks and released on digital-only. From current favourites to future stars this is a lineup of music that will keep you captivated for hours!

Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.
To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album full of contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 1 is slated for a September 21st release, and features sonic reinterpretations from Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Hibernation, An-ten-nae, Kaminanda, AtYya, Tribone, Twin Shape, Land Switcher, Drumspyder, and Govinda. The second part will be released in late October with contributions from Emancipator, Whitebear, Sixis, Mystral, Supersillyus, Halfred, Master Minded, and many others. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

Nanoplex have been quickly establishing themselves as pioneers of progressive techno in the UK. Both established as DJ's and producers in their own right, they are now signed to Iboga Records. They were one of the first names in consideration for the London Landscapes 2 compilation as we look to celebrate progressive music from the UK and beyond, and they have truly delivered with an epic remix of their own 'Creepy Crawly'!

Furthur Progressions Records evolved from parties thrown across the UK, which brought us in to contact with some of the leading labels and artists in the early 2000's. The basis of experience and wealth of talent we were working with, along with the passion of the team to continue to evolve our experience within the most enlightening medium available to humankind, led us to create a platform for the release of innovative, effective, high-quality music. 
 
The name of Furthur Progressions Records is a combination of two influences. 'Furthur' was the name of the psychedelic bus that carried Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters across the United States, often in the company of bands such as The Grateful Dead and flanked by Hells Angels. The bus was an artistic, sonic experiment that pushed boundaries, carrying some of the maddest and most creative people of the 1960's through their adventures. 'Progressions' refers to the form of music that we love - that which progresses, builds and flows on a path of emotion and joy.
