After a first release very noticed by Bungle, Sound Enforcers welcomes this time the prodigy M-zine, one of the best kept secrets from Belgium.

M-zine have just released their excellent debut album 'Know When You're Ready' on Bristol's Sofa Sound label. He has also signed to some of the hottest labels on the scene such as 31 Records, Dispatch Recordings or Commercial Suicide to name a few.

M-zine opens this new project with the track '150 Miles From Earth' in collaboration with his Belgian friend Atmospherix. A modern and trippy drum & bass that should shake more than one on the dancefloor. 'EightOEight' wants to be more deep & funky, again combining modernity and old-school influence to get something original out of it. Then come 'Clip2' and 'Tools' in a minimal and mental register, loaded with techno influences. Simple & effective.

Born from a London-Auckland connection and friendship that’s lasted more than 25 years, we are delighted to welcome the long-awaited debut album from Sci-Clone.

Consisting of 2 members - Jason Cambridge (aka A-Sides), who is very much the drum and bass guy, and Nathan Haines, who has a long history of being involved in jazz music, the pair have concocted the perfect fusion album.

Their past Metalheadz releases, 3 of them in total, all came out between 1997-99 and stood out in the growing back catalogue for their ability to merge 2 authentic styles. Jason provided the beats and bass and Nathan provided the melodic and harmonic content, an approach they’ve thoroughly refined for the release of their full-length album in 2023.

Titled ‘Radio Therapy’, the album comes in 2 parts consisting of 17 tracks in total. The first part is completely original and came together over the last decade via multiple extended trips to New Zealand and long studio hours. Made up of Jason’s production knowledge and skill as well as Nathan’s ingenuity and flair, the duo possess distinctive skill sets whilst admirably sharing all responsibilities equally. It’s a unique method of working bringing out the best in both of them, creating some exquisitely classy music in the process.

The second part is a celebration of the aforementioned 90s releases, now precisely remastered to assemble a memorable package.

Jason and Nathan were always set on releasing this album through Metalheadz and we couldn’t be happier to see it materialise as strongly as it has. This is their drum and bass rendition.

We’ve got some ethereal techno coming direct from France to kick-start the week. Purple Records present their debut VA and we have the pleasure of hosting a premiere for Corsen who sprinkles breakbeats across deviating arpeggios and euphoric string sections for a heavenly piece of ecstasy-laced techno.

The debut release from French imprint PURPLE RECORDS lands later this week. The first offering is a VA entitled Auralite 23 and it showcases the label’s vision of portraying positive vibrations in harmony with body and mind through music. The label strives for authenticity and hopes that listeners and contributors will feel that from the moment it’s created to the moment it’s listened to, it becomes that outlet so sought-after by dancers.

Music breaks down boundaries, creates encounters, and amplifies our emotions and thoughts: Auralite 23 is first and foremost a journey that we give ourselves, but that we need to share with others. Communicate, explore, and let yourself go!

We premiere music from Brest-based techno artist and live-act Corsen. The French DJ and producer supplies a slick offering that is oozing in euphoric techno power. Delicate breakbeats play across low-end power, while Corsen drizzles ascending arpeggios across the face of the track. An anathematic string section is the star of the show here, making this an ultimate club weapon for the early hours of the morning. Hands in the air, clutching your friends as smoke scatters across a dingy warehouse club, this is the kind of soul-stirring techno that brings a tear to the eye.

With influences of breakbeat, dub and reggae, jungle is at the foundation of some of Hospital’s most prominent dance-floor prowlers. Russian talent PROFF makes his return to Silk Music with a stunning, 2-track drum &amp; bass EP: "The Pole".

The title track takes off with an energetic soundscape, which includes numerous prominent beat layers and intricate sound effects. As the song progresses, stunning arpeggios and hypnotizing melodies emerge; in the break, blissful pads are at play, which unite beautifully with the existing elements. Makoto, a man who’s been instrumental in Japan’s drum & bass movement since the birth of the genre, now signed exclusively to Hospital Records presenting his fifth solo album ‘Salvation’. A perfect fit bringing that trademark sound across 14 tracks of authentic soul and rolling jazz inspirited drum & bass.

‘I Don’t Wanna Wake Up’ featuring the outstanding vocals of Karina Ramage is the perfect summertime roller. Delightfully hypnotic, this will be a staple selection for any DJ worth their salt over the coming months, catching its premiere on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 slot.
