Russian talent PROFF makes his return to Silk Music with a stunning, 2-track drum &amp; bass EP: "The Pole".

The title track takes off with an energetic soundscape, which includes numerous prominent beat layers and intricate sound effects. As the song progresses, stunning arpeggios and hypnotizing melodies emerge; in the break, blissful pads are at play, which unite beautifully with the existing elements. In the early going of "The Lights," a strong male vocal, united with unique sound effects, form a breathtaking atmosphere. Consisting of Danish-born (LA-based) producer Tim McEwan and NYC-based singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle, The Midnight have emerged in recent years as a veritable leader of the synthwave resurgence. More specifically, the duo have received generous support from legions of synthwave enthusiasts, as well as more casual synth-pop fans, ever since their aesthetic-defining debut EP "Los Angeles" (2014). Their subsequent LP offering, "Endless Summer" (2016), cemented the duo's reputation as one of the finest new synthwave acts, a sentiment that musical legends (Chicane), renowned artist peers (FM-84), and prominent genre hubs (NewRetroWave) have graciously reinforced of late. The Midnight Remixed, one of our most ambitious releases to date, features brand new remixes by a distinguished group of Silk Music veterans, whose melodic and atmospheric sound has significantly helped to define our brand. We've also recruited a few famed nonresident label contributors, including Lifelike and Michael Cassette, whose specific compositional gifts and musical legacies seemed especially apropos to this 80s-influenced endeavor.

The Midnight Remixed showcases breathtaking new interpretations of The Midnight's past work, ranging in style from drum & bass and deep house to trance & progressive. Michael Cassette, Johan Vilborg, Dezza, Lifelike, PROFF, Terry Da Libra, Sundriver, and Talamanca's exhilarating, club-oriented interpretations feature rapturous chords, and, of course, Tyler's mellifluous and infectious vocal hooks. Offerings from Marsh, Vintage & Morelli, eleven.five, and Mango vs. We Are All Astronauts convey a deeper and more introspective musical tone, but are nonetheless equally memorable.

Technicolour - 	'Music' is one of THE cornerstones of jungle to me, one of a handful of tracks that really laid a foundation for everything that has come to pass since. So I hope my deep reverence for the original comes through in the remix. 
Furney - Nice little re-hash of Bukems classic, the new elements swirl it up nicely and the rolling break rattles in your face faster than an Olympic gold medallist. The unforgettable bass hook, faithfully reproduced, make this a chin stoker and a leg shaker.  Don't miss this one.

Jay Rome - Really love this remix by Technicolour....he still kept the great dreamy vibe of the original and made a solid update of it....Technicolour never does wrong.
Command Strange - It's really great remix, now this legendary track sounds fresh to the old spirit! BIG!
Malaky - Amazing rework of one of my all time favourites.Still got the vibes of the original but with a modern twist.Not an easy task to remix such a classic track,but Technicolour's got it spot on.Can't wait for this one!!!!!






LTJ Bukem - Music - Technicolour Rework - goodlooking Records

Russian producers ‘Cutworks’ have taken the samples from the track ‘Through the Motions’ originating from the first Transference EP and have produced a stunning remix and label highlight. In retaining the beautiful piano keys, strings, and mid-bass sounds from the original, but introducing old school, sparkling beats and wobbling cyber bass, this track is so at odds with itself that it smacks of brilliant originality. Another deep, musical track that also works the dance floor.

Orchids and Angell is an ongoing and ever-changing musical project that I developed so that I could rotate vocalist (Orchids) through at different times and continue down a single path of discovery with as little friction as possible in the mechanics of getting tracks to our listeners. I am a Composer/Producer/Engineer/Computer Scientist as well as an avid electronic music enthusiast and artist with over 25 years of experience in audio production and sound design. I have been working furiously to find time to foster and regenerate my passion for musical composition, and I think I may have found a path forward. I've had nearly a 16-year break from writing/playing with a lot of life in between (three beautiful girls) and I'm just so grateful that I've found my way back to enjoying my greatest passion once again.
