Blues-Based Psychedelic Rock headed by Sam Phish. We are influenced by the sounds of classic bands like The Grateful Dead, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and The Cream, but also newer acts like The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, and Cage the Elephant. Our sound is largely defined by simple song structure with lots of improvisation, as well as howling blues vocals. Phish's style of playing, as well as tone, is heavily inspired by Jimi Hendrix. Tomlin's vibe comes strictly from jam band greats The Grateful Dead. Jarryd's thunderous drumming comes from his time spent in marching band paired with a love for Led Zeppelin. Grider's bass groove has elements of classic metal, but jives like it's funk or early Motown. The band is based in Mooresville, Indiana.

Multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and composer Jean Dasso, known by his alias Yeahman & ORSSO, champions a unique form of artistic universality, seamlessly blending electronic and traditional music. Since 2017, he has performed across the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
Selected for the prestigious Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges, he represented the Occitanie region in 2021 before settling in Marseille later that year.
With a Mediterranean breeze carrying him back to his Corsican roots, Yeahman is currently working on an album inspired by his heritage : an innovative reinterpretation of tradition that stays true to his signature blend of authenticity and modernity.
His debut album Ostriconi, released in January 2021 on the U.S.-based label Wonderwheel Recordings, breathes life into traditional influences, bringing together contemporary musicians while weaving in his personal take on electronic music, marked by ethereal synths and driving basslines. Recognized by tastemakers like FIP and Radio Nova, his artistry has resonated far and wide. In spring 2022, Yeahman delivered an unforgettable session for Cercle, which also released his track Wadi Rum through their label. At the close of 2023, his collaborative EP with Aluminé Guerrero offered a deep exploration of South American sounds, leaving ample space for vocals to shine.
Yeahman first emerged in Toulouse, founding the Ghetto Sonido events in 2014. He has also made a mark as a programmer for festivals such as Rio Loco, Château Perché, La Cavale, and, most recently, the Marseille-based Folks festival, which saw a highly successful inaugural edition in 2024.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. In particular, DJ mix cds and their packaging were always his 'holy grail of design', especially those from Renaissance, Global Underground and Good Looking Records. It's a pleasure to share these discs back with people and they still influence our tastes to this day.

The first Future Lover LP "Summoning" is available on vinyl and from all major digital retailers.  The newest single "Death Save" is bubbling up from under the pavement, and will be unleashed on the unsuspecting public on June 15th, 2017.

Future Lover is the synthesis of a lifetime of melodic inspiration and influences, ranging from Echo and the Bunnymen and Wire, to the Rolling Stones, the Doors and Kraftwerk.

When asked to describe his music, Colin answers,  "...it's like a time traveler from the 80's has materialized in a crystal cave in the ancient past with a bonfire, a drum, a handheld computer and a guitar...he's taking some time to collect himself...he's just arrived from a visit to the distant musical future..."
