We are excited to welcome Australian artist Moontide to the Earthly Measures family with his truly beautiful EP 'Dreams Within Dreams' including remixes from Kusht and ourselves.

Dreams Within Dreams is built entirely from field recordings captured in churches, temples, and other places of ritual. The EP marks Moontide's use of exclusively analog synthesisers for the drums and melodies, which respond to these recorded environments.

The work explores the acoustic properties of these intentional spaces, their reverbs, silences, and ambient textures. Each track layers these field recordings with analog synthesis, creating compositions that exist somewhere between documentation and interpretation.

Specter is a two-track EP by Istanbul-based producer Karma Whiff, blending haunting atmospheres, tape textures, and breakbeat grooves. Glow of the Crimson drifts through shadowy tension, while Flicker drives with broken beats and hypnotic layers. A spectral journey between stillness and motion, designed for both introspection and the dancefloor.

Jeremy Hyman steps up to FT with the first of two 12" EPs that are a coordinated blast of colorful, galaxy-edge plastic techno from the master percussionist who moonlights in Lifted, Boredoms, Animal Collective, and more. Always rhythmatic in exciting ways, Hyman's drum programming here is more arms than buttons, injecting a fly human element in the 12". "Slide" does what it says with amazing technoid bass work and a propulsive sense of timing, "Madness" hovers and falls and hovers again, and "Tinted Mirror" is some sort of Foodman-meets-Prescription-Records house symphony, rising and rising and rising. Introducing COSMIC RESIDENTS v. 1, the first in an ongoing compilation series from Cosmic Resonance Records. This series will showcase emerging talent from Toronto’s underground creative electronic music scene. 

This first edition features local favourites and Cosmic Resonance residents Radiant Aura Faculty (aka Raf Reza), Korea Town Acid and Hemingway along with (and making their vinyl and Cosmic Resonance debut) Body Butter, WeTurnToRed and Smoke & Shadows.

On the A-side, Hemingway kicks things off with Astralnauts, a deep, dubbed out boogie breakbeat burner dedicated to explorers of the astral plane featuring fellow label don Chris Evans on rhythm guitar. Radiant Aura Faculty (aka Raf Reza) takes us even deeper with the mystical Cid Pit Riddim, a slamming 707 acid bender sure to melt any dance floor. Things get slippery with Body Butter’s debut single ‘Lights In The Hallway’, a timeless operatic pop opus featuring Neil Rankin (aka Burt Sugar), Chris Evans (aka Mr. Bliss) and Hemingway behind the board. On the flip side, things heat up with Shamanta Chandran’s project WeTurnToRed, featuring the progressive modular techno odyssey Warm Winter an escape from Toronto’s long and tumultuous blizzards. Emerging from the Mahogani Forest, Korea Town Acid reinterprets Hemingway’s emotional ode to the jazz aesthetic Blue Notes with her trademark cerebral rhythms and a masterful bassline that elevates the original to new heights. Closing it off, we have an amazing collaboration between Curtis Clark (aka Smoke of Lab.our Music) & Em Zy (member of Nikki Fierce) called Smoke & Shadows with their stellar debut single Convincing Thoughts that features Em Zy’s hazy vocal emanations amidst a backdrop of mystical reverberations and a dark, powerful groove.

Cosmic Residents Vol. 1 - Various Artists - Preview

Guided by yet another of La Cheetah Club’s family members, Alfie leads us through the third Outer Zone with four homage laden techno cuts, all obliquely or otherwise brushing past centre-points of styles within the genre. Having proven himself as a producer capable of making serious dancefloor cuts as @theburrellconnection, this new moniker sees the Perth native coagulate sounds usually heard during the energetic moments before the always impending end of the night. Each track stems from influences or creative bursts entirely different from the last, with the EP opening to a lovingly crafted tribute to giants and ending with something drawn from wider sources of inspiration rendered singular. ‘Plastic Entertainment’ is anything but artificial, made with the direct intention of shaking walls and eyeballs.

The first physical media manifestation by Portland producer Dan Kirschner aka Well Being blurs the boundary between warehouse and wilderness, future and nature, free-flowing frameworks of deep house, relaxed acid, and dewdrop electronics: Pleasure Garden. From the sparkling windswept hang-glide of “Deep Sea Exploration” to the slinky forest path jack of “Moon Valley,” the EP encapsulates a spectrum of contemporary Cascadia eco-techno modes and moves: club cuts tricked with crickets, cloud bank pads above damp earth bass, rainforest rave rhythms filtered through studio skylights. Sequenced palindromically, side one is all originals, side two alternate mixes — including an elusive aerial “rebuild” by Pac Northwest peer Akasha System. Step off of the street; stray into the Garden.
