The 12th release on FutureForm Music welcomes John Graham aka Quivver back to the label for a brand new single. The UK born, now USA based producer made his debut on the Aussie imprint in April of 2014 with 'The Fog'. Quivver's distinctive grooves have remained a favourite with a wide range of top DJs, most notably John Digweed. He made a return to the storied DJ's Bedrock Records in July of last year with the Beatport Deep House #1 'Takin Over EP'. Now as 2016 enters its second quarter we find Quivver returning to FutureForm Music with a brand new single entitled 'Feel It' alongside remixes from Ben Coda and Marten Sundberg. 

The release begins with the original mix and finds John crafting a funky, yet driving journey. Anchored by bulbous bass stabs and a band of swing heavy rhythms, John's nose for the dance floor has never been stronger. A myriad of vocal elements begin to work their way into the mix as trails of effects reveal a smart tonal theme. With momentum growing flashes of gates and razor sharp stabs bring an electric atmosphere, while several rhythmic shifts keep the groove locked. Drifting tones highlight a stripped down second act, building just enough tension to deliver a heady drop and exhilarating finale. Another sure-fire dance floor bomb from Quivver. 

The first interpretation of 'Feel It' is provided by Ben Coda who is making his debut on FutureForm Music. As a nearly 10 year electronic music veteran, the UK artist has appeared on a host of storied imprints including Baroque Records and Flow Records. His recent collaborative project 'Nanoplex' enjoyed a nearly one month long stay in Beatport's progressive house charts, and he's delivered an excellent interpretation of 'Feel It' here. With a galloping, psychedelic inspired groove and pristine design qualities it doesn't take long to get fully immersed in this one. Rough bass stabs carve out some incredible hooks while phasing vocals and a trail of deadly effects further tantalize the senses. A subtle acid line highlights a second act and precedes a short, well executed break which is set for dance floor destruction. Huge remix from Ben.

The second and final interpretation of 'Feel It' is provided by Marten Sundberg who is also making his FutureForm Music debut. The German artist has found a home on Kompakt, Chapter 24 and Manual Music. No stranger to large remix projects Marten has given his distinctive touch to Gus Gus 'Airwaves' and now delivers an outstanding interpretation of Quivver's 'Feel It'. With a fresh and contemporary approach the German artist has reworked the bass stabs into a state of wonky, rhythmic brilliance. The vocals, while reprocessed, play a large role in the narrative carrying the track on melancholic journey, with indistinct melodies and wispy designs taking you home. Excellent remix from Marten which rounds out a release full of variety and talent from FutureForm Music. Don't miss it.

Vincent Koreman is a major actor of the dutch underground music scene. He has been producing electronic music for many years under various monikers such as Ra-X and Drvg Cvltvre. Breaking musical boundaries, he explores many styles like punk, noise, experimental house, acid or dark analog electro. He’s also the man behind Angelmaker Records and New-York Haunted, a tape and digital sublabel of Snug Life Records where he signed, in addition to his own productions, artists like Baz Reznik, Ekman or D'Marc Cantu amongst others. Here’s the latest ep "Floating Arch" by Joel John (aka Joel Wilson), a London-based producer who delivers four pure techno tracks + one ambient delight. This eponym track is on free download so feel free to pick it up folks !  Cassette will be out on 19 April.

A leading light at the forefront of the new wave of British house music, northern star Richy Ahmed returns to his home label Hot Creations with a monumental two-track release entitled ‘So Good’.

Richy Ahmed has been riding at breaking speed since his debut EP ‘The Drums’ dropped on Hot Creations in 2013, crowned as Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and receiving a wealth of support worldwide. The following year he followed up with his ‘Sneaky Acid’ EP as the 50th release on Hot Creations and made his Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ debut. Since then he has spread his wings producing releases for the likes of Circus and Strictly Rhythm and remixes for Hotflush, Suara and Truesoul to name a few. The talented producer is now back on Hot Creations and about to drop one of his best to date.

His first release for 2016, it features two house jams both with a different style. 'So Good' is a perfect summer groover and. 'Ruff N Raw', as the name describes, is quite a tough house banger. Both have been causing serious damage!
Aside from producing, Richy is an integral member of the Hot Creations crew, acting as both A&R and being one of the main residents and curators of the line ups for Paradise at DC10. He also enjoys an extensive touring schedule playing all over the world at hotspots such as Panorama Bar and fabric. Now in 2016, there are no signs of slowing down with the launch of his 'FourThirtyTwo' branded parties that see him playing all night to small intimate crowds. Richy also plans to launch his record label later in the year under the same brand.

Dear friends of Connaisseur,

In our scene, a decade is a long time.

When we started the label, we didn't have a master plan, we simply wanted to put out good music we loved, of which we were sure others would love it as well. The way Connaisseur subsequently grew came naturally. If you are music lovers like we are, current musical tendencies will of course always have an infuence on your sound, but basically we stayed true to ourselves and our core has always stayed the same. Yes, we love melodies, yes, we love deepness and yes, we love great emotions, but in which electronic style these are conveyed, is rather secondary. That is our leitmotif, from "Eve By Day" until today and every day to come.

For our anniversary release, we had the idea of asking for collaborations only, as we like the energy of two creative minds coming together and creating something special. Some of the chosen couples had already worked together, others had not. As a result, we now have 6 collaborations, which will be released digitally in two parts and as a selection of three tracks from the two parts on a very nice, limited vinyl.

We are very happy about the variety of styles we have received: From modern trance in the best possible manner fromOlderic and Peter Pardeike, over timeless Detroit-infuenced techno-guardian sound by the two legends Aril Brikha and Chymera, start-of-the-art melodic tech-house from our fgureheads Lehar and Musumeci, a cover-version of the 90ies alternative rock classic „Pets“ from Pornos for Pyros by our norse darlings Of Norway in collaboration with the Scandinavian pop- star Linnea Dale and the multi-instrumentalist Preben Olram, a Warp-style electronica pearl by the Wareika sidekick project Silky Raven together with Hamburg club-dj legend Solaris, to last but not least a techy guarantor by Maltese pirate The Element and Connaisseur label head Alex Flitsch.

This is part one of 10y of Connaisseur featuring Olderic & Peter Pardeike, Lehar & Musumeci and Silky Raven & Solaris.
