Sophie du Palais, also known as Vrouwe Fataal, is a German vocalist and recording artist from Amsterdam. Sophie du Palais’ sound mixes elements of sinister and commanding vocals – reminiscent of Miss Kittin’ – to create an infectious vortex of panic.

After a night of experimenting in a studio and uploading her first track on Soundcloud, Pinkman Records stumbled upon the profile. She released twice on Pinkman which is known for having a third ear out for the very finest sounds of tomorrow.

Sophie du Palais’ and Identified Patient’s haughty, somewhat punky track ‘Crush On You’ caught fire with the burgeoning international crowd and her stony vocals similarly lined up with their Dekmantel release “The drip” a year later.

A series of early productions on various artists compilations were scattered throughout 2020.

While dance floors were going wild from Sao Paolo to Moscow and India, Du Palais was finalizing her debut EP. This collection of clubby productions with new wave sensibilities will be released on BFE Records in July 2021.

Galactic Funk kick-off their first Mutant Radio show on Christmas Eve with special guests Boris Barksdale (Phromix, Natural Sciences) and NVST (Big Science, Endless Illusion). Warmest welcome on Mutant board!
Boris Barksdale is an enigmatic Greek DJ and producer is based in Paris and commands a unique selection and production style. He dropped what to most is the album of the year on Phormix and follows this up with a full-length on Natural Sciences next month.
NVST, a DJ and producer that co-runs the French label Big Science where she dropped a sick EP early last year. With a busy touring schedule before the current lockdown, she also dropped music on Endless Illusion and the new launched Proxima Records.

It's finally sunny Amsterdam and we're extra happy to welcome LVRIN to the GF series. The DJ and hardware focussed producer has been impressing with his work for some time with deadly releases on labels like Electric Shapes, Sign Bit Zero, numerous on Pinkman Broken Dreams, on towLie's kaften label, on Arma Records as his alias Golden Axe and others. With the recent Ukraine war, he has made it a point as a Russian artist to take a stance against violence and speak out. He has contributed in many ways including all sales from his EP on Pinkman this year as well as being part of the fundraiser compilation by Global Warming Records which was curated by Yssue and featured 22 Russian artists. Lock in for a synth-heavy hour of chugging electro, EBM, and more.
