When you’re brainstorming ideas for album covers, you never really think they might involve placing yourselves in the middle of a road as traffic bears down on you.  However, that is precisely what we did.
Now I’m not one to tell tales but it was all Gal’s fault.  He thought our front cover  should feature an image of the entire band, which was quite compelling aside from the fact that we lived in London, Hans in Hamburg and have in reality never met.  But Gal had a mate called Dan (who lives in Norfolk, hence the title), a professional photographer whose comprehensive knowledge of Photoshop could bring the three of us together.
We’d always loved the pre-fame, Astrid Kirchherr portraits of The Beatles, taken during their club-playing, Hamburg days and two of these became our template - in focus subject occupying the foreground, covert and blurred figure (in our case, 2  figures) in the distance.
And so it was that, armed with a pin-sharp shot of Hans, we met with Dan to photograph the background scene which, as outlined previously, was in the middle of a busy side road.  Camera in hand, Dan teetered on a plastic crate as Gal and me  dodged back and forth to avoid a plethora of oncoming vehicles - everything from lorries to mobility scooters - who were, on the whole, very accommodating in the circumstances. Some even smiled and waved - at least I think that’s what they were doing…
We owe Dan so much, not only for his consummate skills and kindness but also for laying his life on the line in the name of art.  This song is for him.  (Terry Reeves)

I'm not sure which is more maddening these days — the situation in Ukraine or the situation in America. Hell, the middle east is also crap. I'm just mad at it all.

The present virtual recording was produced using Finale 27.4.1 and the Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 virtual instrument library. Mastering was done by EMastered. For the best listening experience, high quality headphones are recommended.

Flute. Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn in F, Trumpet in C, and Strings

Performance notes:
• Tempo, expression, and dynamic markings should be strictly observed.
• There is no key signature. Accidentals apply to the end of the measure or to the note or notes tied over the measure, and only to notes of the same pitch class, in the same octave.

We are very proud to present the first of many organically grown collaboration between One Man Verity Show and The Beautiful Dark. This was effortless. I guess thats the other amazing thing that real musicians can share... For years we stare through our instruments at the world of music and then someday we connect and the visions combine. We'll keep comparing our world to the world of fake music until it is the fad that it should be... AI cannot deliver you a connection like we just started. You may get a remotely similar result but heres whats real... AI has never has our eyes to look at the woerld for 40 odd years with and it never will. Heres to real human connections and real music. I'm not sure if the song is good or not. I'm pretty sure that is a small song, a result of a little bit of inspiration. I saw myself in the obligation of do it. At least, don't takes us away too much time to listen it. It is like all those songs we don't really like as "You mother should know", from the Beatles (saving a great distance, os course)

narration: there are literature tourists following the traces of the likes of Shakespeare and Kafka. some places consider those travellers in two worlds a good source of income. There is also a different kind of tourism on the magic-realistic tracks of the likes of Borges ;-)
