Italian producer and composer “AM 1984” (real name, Maurizio Avossa), celebrates his love with italo disco sounds and movie soundtracks from the 80s dropping his first studio album, “Volcano Red Sunset”. Released on Sunlover Records, the album showcases the distinctive sound of that era, with lush pads, warm melodies and lucid grooves. Album is a solid work, going from modern italo to synthwave, showcasing AM 1984’s alent behind the studio desk.

A remake of the music from the SEGA Arcade hit Power Drift. Quite a difficult game to complete as a kid but once you get the hang of the controls each level was more or less the same, it was also interesting as you were able to use the afterburner plane and the bike from hangon! Enjoy, I have set this to free download so you can add it to your collection of video game remakes. Enjoy!

Side Street (Alpharisc remake)

SCENES is my first Retrowave album, and a sort of "greatest hits" of all my artistic influences: movies, TV series, cartoons, videogames, everything is there. The massive use of synths and LINN Drum samples guarantees the 80s throwback, but my love for the electric guitar phrasing lead me towards some rock episodes, expecially in "Neon Blades". SCENES may have a Retrowave style, but I think this album is for everyone, and I hope you will find yourself in some of these micro scenes.
