A short demo created for my first sample library, 'Snow'.

The library comprises of various pads and sound effects created from a selection of field recordings I took during a snowy period in Leeds, UK earlier this year. My not so virtuosic violin playing also features in this library to capture the fragile, frozen landscapes of Leeds which inspired me.

Incidental Music For Eyelid Movies (IMforEM). That's the style of music I write and record. It's music to be watched with your eyes closed.

When I was 14 and trying to learn to play guitar no one told me about A440 tuning. I knew how to tune the guitar string to string, but wasn't aware that records and what I heard on the radio had a standard. I soon became frustrated trying to play along with what I heard and began making up my own music. Still at it.

British writer Gabriel Ness is the composer of multiple award-winning feature films, short films and animations. He has contributed to numerous albums on Pretty Decent Music and Ninja Tune Production Music, employing a skilful approach to orchestral and cinematic production through his experience handling live symphonic performances.

In addition to cinematic composition, Gabriel collaborates with commercial artists including electro-acoustic producer Jonny Martyr (aka Field Waves) and power-production duo NOISE NETWORK.
