Growing up in the Nelson BC, Raine’s style is heavily influenced by the music festivals (Shambhala, Bass Coast, etc.) and nature that he grew up immersed in. With a love for the environment and being in the mountains, Raine focuses on music that has elemental/natural aspects and energy to it. Raine also has a thesis and a degree in how festivals and events create “Flow State” or moments of euphoria among their audience. This has dedicated him to creating the best experience for the people on the dancefloor. Because of this, his sets follow a story line and are based off of the energy that is interacting with the crowd, rather than just what song is playing next. To create this experience, Raine’s sets are multi-genre and open format. The genre’s that he plays most include deep house, bass house, trap, mid tempo and drum and bass but he has also been known to play Funk, Ambient or Trance depending on the crowd or event environment. His sets can also include live visuals to enhance the experience.
