ár um borna,  
þá er forðum mik

Ár var alda  
þar er Ymir byggði,  
vara sandr né sær  
né svalar unnir.  
Jörð fannsk æva  
né upphiminn,  
gap var ginnunga,  
en gras hvergi.  

Hittusk æsir  
á Iðavelli,  
þeir er hörg ok hof  
hátimbruðu,  
afla lögðu,  
auð smíðuðu,  
tangir skópu,  
ok tól gørðu.  

Teflðu í túni,  
teitir váru,  
var þeim vettergis  
vant ór gulli,  
unz þrjár kvámu  
þursa meyjar,  
ámáttkar mjök,  
ór Jötunheimum.  

Fleygði Óðinn 
ok í folk um skaut, 
þat var enn folkvíg 
fyrst í heimi. 
Brotinn var borðveggr 
borgar ása, 
knáttu vanir vígspá 
völlu sporna. 

Þórr einn þar vá, 
þrunginn móði, 
hann sjaldan sitr 
er hann slíkt um fregn. 
Á gengusk eiðar, 
orð ok sœri, 
mál öll meginlig, 
er á meðal fóru.

The distant memories of our ancestors' lives lie untouched by the ages in our subconscious... We hear the tribes are restless... And we see them resting... Helped and beaten by the forces of nature, they survive through us, they survive through the eons.

Gaetir the Mountainkeeper - Eilífðina á Veturna (meaning "Eternity in Winter") is a track from the upcoming full length album, to be released this January 2020. 

Through a mythical, archetypal reunion with the distant realms of old North, the new album will soon be upon us like a polar storm. This work blends the past, present and the future - while getting back to the roots and debut album, incorporating heavy vocals sung on old Icelandic and electric guitars, now the lush and powerful nordic neofolk elements are emerging from the landscape of layered glacial atmospheric, ambiental textures.

This track is inspired by and dedicated to our one and only homeworld - planet Earth. In light of the current worldwide crisis of humanity, we are tempted to forget about the world that we're living in, the dwelling and source of all Life. We are to remind ourselves that it is Nature from which we've sprung out, and to which we owe our existence. We have been here for a while now, and we have survived against all odds, because we've respected the powers of Earth and forged our spirit through the thorns. Now, we are here; and we have the strength to live on, to learn from our mistakes. And to make this world a better place, only if we want to. To all of you brothers and sisters around the globe - may your spirit be strong and your faith unyielding.
