Once upon a time, on a balmy Friday afternoon, bandits, merrymakers, misfits and harlots sailed along the cliff strewn Balearic island of Mallorca. They celebrated the gladiator Maxamillian’s trip around a star, while Miroslav conducted the orchestra to the rhythm of the sails ruffling in the wind until the sun sunk into the blue horizon.

Hello everyone, DJ Khromata here, I am honored to have been asked to do a mix for the wonderful psybient.org. Most people know me as just a psytrance DJ, but I play many different styles of music, from progressive house, to psybreaks, to psychill/psydub. I have a series of psydub/psychill mixes called Apson Psydub that I started almost 10 years ago. It has been some years since the last one, and I consider this set for psybient.org the 9th in the series. The meaning behind the name Apson is inspired by the Apsara, or in Thai อัปสร (Apson), the beautiful dancing supernatural female beings of the clouds found in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. I hope you enjoy this set as we venture into the cosmic realm of the Apson where they dance sensually through dubby fractal space palaces floating in the sky... :) much love!

Khromata Bio

Khromata aka Eileen Lewis is one of the most prolific and sought after psytrance DJs in the U.S. She is a label DJ for the highly regarded Iboga Records. Now in her 11th year of DJing, she has played across the U.S and around the world, in places such as New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Las Vegas, Copenhagen, London, Mexico City, Vancouver, Panama, Ukraine, and beyond. She has played at top festivals like Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis' Oregon Eclipse, Ozora California, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tribal Gathering, Astral Harvest Festival, Psytribe's Spring Frequency gatherings, four Dreamstate SoCals, Dreamstate Mexico, Dreamstate SF, and more. Dynamic, yet foaty, with a bit of psychedelic textures and mostly melodic, the music of Suduaya intend to
bring joy and happiness. His latest album, “Loveology”, released in november 2018, is a fresh exploration of
sounds and atmospheres, harmonically rich, rhythmically intriguing and not afraid of the occasional funky rif
or dirty bassline. His sets are built like a story, with no track sounding like the other.
His frst CD album named ‘Dreaming Sun’ came out on Altar Records in 2011. The second one, ‘Unity’, was
released in 2013 and gave him the opportunity to perform in many parts of the world, in more than 20
countries over 4 continents.
Since then he played on events like Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia), Psy-Fi (Netherlands), Samsara
(Hungary) Eclipse Festival (Canada), Utopia Boom Landing (Portugal), Hadra Festival (France), S.U.N. Festival
(Hungary), Summer Never Ends (Switzerland), Chilltop Festival (Goa), Ometeolt (Mexico), The Experience
Festival (Thailand), Dakini (Romania) and so on.
Over the years, he made diferent collaborations and remixes with Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Sideform, Zyce,
Desert Dwellers, Makida, Vertex, Faders, Irina Mikhailova..and released on various labels such as Iboga
Records, YSE, BMSS, Cosmicleaf, and Altar Records.
His album ‘Venus’ came out in december 2016, followed by a successful tour 2017/2018 and a powerful
2019 season with the ‘Summer of Loveology Tour’

Psychedelic Jelly is proud to present the 11th in a series of Nodes to keep you entertained during and through the lockdown and beyond!
A node is a spatial concept representing the alignment between two waves, just as a mix is the connection between different songs.

Being influenced by several music cultures (rock, dub, reggae, electronica, psy-trance, chill out), Johnny Blue developed a unique style by smoothly blending sounds in colourful and sensational music journeys.
He comes from Cyprus and started dj-ing 20 years ago. 
He is one of the senior representatives on the launch, establishment and uprising of Cyprus' psychedelic music scene.
