WIND & SAIL is a brief 10 minute + work of sundry musical vignettes meant to entice listeners to imagine passage on a sail boat cruising the waters of Pleasant Bay, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, or the bay of one’s choice. The weather is perfect with a few scattered, puffy clouds and the sun is glistening down bouncing off the water which is reflecting our sail. However, the wind is changing constantly and can literally go from no breeze to huge gusts quickly propelling the boat to glide effortlessly. Observing the movement of the waves along with the telltale string indicators on the sail will predict the direction of our wind. The last musical statement hopes to settle one into a mellow state at the end of this cruise. Allow these musical pictures to take you for an unexpected and refreshing excursion.
