Nick J. Lukomski (born 19 April 1984 in Heidelberg) better known as Nyack, is a German rapper and musician. His artist name is of African origin and means „won’t give up“. Lukomski was born to a German mother and a Belarusian father. He started his career 2004 with his best friend Moritz „Rizzla“ Henkel and MC Akeem. Together they formed the heavily Reggae and Dancehall-influenced band GodzArmy, which rapidly gained fame in the underground scene of their hometown region around the Rhine-Main area. GodzArmy released their first E.P. „Wie Immer - Dubplate Sessions“ in April 2005. After they split up in 2007, Nyack and Rizzla joined Revolt Sound, a collective of different musicians and graffiti artists around the city of Speyer, where they released the „Infinity EP“. After several collaborations and features with e.g. General Degree and local artists, Nyack formed the Crossover-Project BrokenArmy, with musicians of his hometown. Their first single „Benzin“ from 2013 has been voted as Song of the week on the radio-station BigFm. An album has been recorded but never found a release date.
Meanwhile, Nyack began to release his mixtapes with his longtime-friend and DJ „Bobby Flirt“ : „In Teufels Küche“ (2012), „Flyentology“ (2013), „E.T.“ (2015) and „Route 572“ (2016), which gained success on the streaming-platform Soundcloud. With Rizzla as his longtime producer and engineer, Nyack released several single-tracks on Spotify the following years.
