Apparel Music, following up Jason Hersco’s succes “I Was Young”, releases a very special remix produced by the Italian producer Justnique. Niccolò Terranova (his real name) debuts on AM with a stunning personal version of the Canadian artist, showing his innate sonic talent on remix duties. “I Was Young remix” by Justnique, out on the 24th of November 2023.

Jason Hersco strikes again, this time with a fresh new EP dropping on Apparel Music called "Headspace," kicked off by the stunning single "Ocean Breeze" out on June 28, 2024. The musical partnership between the Canadian DJ/Producer and the Italian label has always delivered quality music, marked by groovy rhythms and the artist's skill to enrich them with all the right elements to create light and carefree House tracks, yet with a lot of sound research behind them. Ocean Breeze sets the vibe, followed by the full digital Headspace EP hitting on July 12, 2024.

Monsieur Van Pratt's loose and languid 'Besame' opens up with some gorgeous strings and funky guitar licks then Kiko Navarro brings a rich Afro flavour with the shuffling and percussive rhythms of 'Bosinga'. Bogdan Ra's 'Get On The Floor' is a fresh take on a disco classic with irresistible vocal charm and swooning pads. Last of all, Zaffa demands you 'Shake It' and you surely will as he layers up wet claps, sliding hi-hats and lively drums into a big-hearted party starter.

Tunes Delivery is a sub-label of Scruscru's Scruniversa and now it enters into the world with a fantastic first offering in the form of this six-track various artists EP. 'Hotmood' opens up with the feel-good disco-funk of 'Just Tonight,' Scruscru keeps it real with 'Funky Flute' which is a nice languid instrumental and Frank Virgilio up the ante with some big horn-laced grooves. The flip side then comes on strong with three more brilliantly musical grooves that brim with catchy riffs and fresh disco-infused rhythms. A great start to what is sure to be a great label.

11 months after launching his popular 'Reworks' series of re-edit compilations, DiscoTech returns with volume three. As usual, the material on offer is tried-and-tested and comprises reworks of both familiar favourites and lesser-known gems - all tailored to the demands of 21st century dancefloors. He begins by lightly tooling up an infectious, low-slung European AOR disco jam ('It Just Begun') before sprinting between saucer-eyed 1970s disco ('Love Inside', seemingly a cover of a more familiar fave), looped-up blue-eyed soul ('On My Mind'), disco-reggae ('Feel About You'), tease-and-release dancefloor soul ('Lights') and glossy, synth-powered '80s soul ('Make a Move').

Most fans of the blues believe it was born in the Mississippi delta shortly before 1900. They are definitevely wrong.The blues had its roots in other forms of older black music that are traced to the music of West Africa. In that sense, Mali music constituting the DNA of the blues and the griots can be identified as the direct ancestors of the rural bluesmen.Baba Sissoko is from Mali and he is the last undisputed griot alive.His voice evokes the lost vibe of the deepest and wildest side of west Africa. A magic land that he largely crossed since his childhood in singing and playing with his legendary grandfather Djeli Baba Sissoko. 

With the help of the soulful voices of Djeli Mah  Damba Koroba  and Djana Sissoko, respectively his 78 y.o. mother and his young daughter he recorded  “Three Gees”.

They are the voices of the past, the present and the future living in the twilight zone where the malian roots blooms into a new sound of hope and happiness.

Involved are also Fernando "Bugaloo" Velez on percussions and the grammy winner Corey Harris on slide guitar.

Somebody called it as Bambara Mystic Soul, we dig it and really hope you enjoy listening this album as much as we have enjoyed making it.

Jazzy Tourism is the first work that establish Apparel Music in the electronic music market. Apparel seeks to combine differents hemispheres, trying to impress on vinyl every mood and emotion. Every song is built for narrow audience, mental, impatient, just like jazz, get something of magical on the dance floor. The original mixes offers a simple way to structure and pushing the batteries, deep bass, funny reasons to open the way for jazzy. Kisk is a good media between sound and audience; working properly jazz samples , as if this was made for his own style. Lopazz & Zarook’s remixes are placed on a road whose direction is the catharsis. One more reason to discover huge basses that fill up the stomach slowly, till to corrode any space, We can define it ‘psyco deep’. SCSI-9 surprise us with special effects, supporting theyr grooves, with the exception of a saxophonist (Prof. Morriarti) and an unforgettable motive wich of course weíll sing under the shower. The vinyl close with Yapacc’s version wich bring us into the funky minimal’s world, towards dark moments weíll arrive in the room of lights. Clubby!

Was resident DJ at the weekly Blast Club in Chester since summer 1988, Quadrant Park Liverpool 90/91 , Sweet Chester , Elevate Bangor   etc etc  .. Now Djing at Electrik Disko every fortnight, and throughout the summer we are in the outside courtyard area in The Commercial Bar Wrexham. Nice sound system and great location ..puurfect.
