The Munich based duo Coeo are the stars of our fourteenth release. Florian Vietz and Andreas Hopfl have presented us with three original tracks with nice and special character. Closer EP is definitely a landmark release for us at Lagaffe Tales which challenges us to follow up with this new standard in the following future. The title track Closer is the star of the release. What stands out if the great percussion work and hauntingly beautiful vocal sample, whispering into our ears. As if the original track was not enough, we were lucky to get one of our biggest influences; Lay-Far to remix the track. The remix takes the percussion work to the next level and still staying true to the original mix. Lay-Far does not disappoint and makes sure that we connect memories we hold dear to the track. Mind Games is a beautiful piece with a tight baseline and enchanting piano atmosphere.  The duo bring to the table another beautiful piano sampling piece in the third track Timid Dancer. The whole EP has encouraged us to work harder and to grow in the right direction as a label.

PREMIERE: Eddy Love - The Fear [Local Groove Records]

Hey, @zypher_dj here.
Before you dive in, let me tell you a little story.

This set begins at sunset, in a place where pine forests and lakes meet in the mountains.
Intrigued, a little Rabbit wanders into this landscape and hears mysterious, captivating rhythms. Drawn to the sound, he discovers a cave filled with mystical creatures. Gnomes, farfadets, and other chimeras, all dancing together to the same beat, fully present in the moment, knowing that this night might be their last. Time is only ephemeral.

The Rabbit steps onto the dancefloor, weaving through the crowd, and continues deeper into the cave. He finally reaches an exit that opens into a darker world, foggy, lit only by fairy lights. The music here feels surreal: slower, heavier, unfamiliar at first. But once he lets go completely, the Rabbit unlocks hidden emotions he never knew existed.

I hope you enjoy this voyage as much as the Rabbit did.
