"Ethyène is next up on Brookland Jams with his 'Ethyène's Resort' EP 🏝️

With Ethyéne returning from a long break from music, it was only right to hear from the main man himself ahead of his ‘Ethyène’s Resort’ EP.

“I wanted Ethyène’s resort to be a humble but sincere invitation to the listeners to come spend a relaxing and fairy time in my own world.
First track ‘Love is such a beautiful thing’ is an enchanting house tune with a never ending progressive groove topped by a naive but beautiful vocal sample.

Second track ‘Bread of the Desert’ is a dancefloor heater made from an underground soul sample. Aggressive hats, slapped bassline, fairy strings loop and badass vocals that remembers us of some of the Ugly Edits by Theo Parrish, record that’s been influencing me for a long time.

Third track ‘Heaven Sand’ is the first I produced chronologically and had me wanting to do this whole EP. It gets an old school city pop vibe in the beginning with reverberated synths that slowly turns into something more Miami influenced thanks to the arpeggiator. Like a global signature to this EP, the track ends with a looped vocal sample that makes you instantly feel good.

The last track, Palermo Nostalgia, has been produced during a trip in Sicily with my girlfriend and reflects the mood in which I was at this moment, happy, enjoying life but not forgetting that troubles could be back. Joy and pain are like sunshine and rain.”

After a couple of years in the wilderness, FINA Records makes a welcome return with a fresh new five-track EP from acclaimed Japanese veteran Takuya Matsumoto. Adept at all forms of house from deep to tech to acid and – as well as landing on FINA Records back in 2015 - he has popped up on the likes of Media Fury and Clone, most recently dropping his devastatingly good tribute to the hey days, the 85-88 EP on Clone’s Jack For Daze Holland in October.

On the ‘Tape Is Rewound EP’, Matsumoto shows his full range demonstrating some low-slung rawness, elegant hi-tech soul, and feel-good sample heavy deepness on the A-side. On the flip he rolls out some dubby acid and a fat-bottomed, party-starting looper. It’s not often you get so much genuine variety and so many irresistible grooves all inside one package!

Hailing from Bari, Nu-Cleo has garnered much recognition for his releases, which are easily distinguishable by their rich warmth, profound depth, and unpretentiousness. Carlo returns to bless us with 3 new tracks in his latest single, "Tides". It tries to capture the euphoria, the warmth, and the festive spirit of the summer season. A testament to Carlo's unique touch that hits the sweet and sexy spot of sunny days. Kicking things off, "Tides" is a radiant tune carrying with it the promise of long, hazy afternoons and unforgettable twilight parties. The track swells and recedes like the tide of the oceans itself. Its melody capturing the essence of high-season festivals, carrying the listener on a blissful journey from dawn to dusk without a chance to even look back.

Up next is 'Temores.' There's a touch of magic in this one; it's an enchanting fusion of lush synths ebbing and a bubbly sample flowing over a solid groove, creating a mesmerizing soundscape that's sure to get bodies moving on dance floors everywhere. As the sun sets and the day's heat begins to cool, 'Temores' promises to keep the spirits up.

'Shuffle Fantasy' seals the deal with its more experimental yet extremely addictive groove, this track brings out Carlo's shapeshifting production, as he tells his listeners to keep the momentum going, because Aterral is just getting started!
