The Shadow Pressings imprint thrives on mystery, frequently delivering missives by uncredited artists informed by the analogue-rich rawness of early Chicago house and the intergalactic intent of classic Detroit Techno. The label is in that mode again here on release number seven, with another nameless producer slamming down four more well-crafted workouts. Our shadowy hero (or heroes) first offer up 'Trentestter', where echoing synth motifs and sustained chords rise above a slipped synth bassline and crunchy machine percussion, before reaching for short, delay-laden vocal snippets, acid bass and warehouse-ready stabs on 'Unreleased Slices'. 'Dreamed Up To Ecstasy' is deep, melodious and tactile, sitting somewhere between early Larry Heard and colourful Italian dream house, while 'Am I' takes us even deeper and dreamier via drifting pads, liquid bass, heady organ keys and eyes-closed spoken word snippets.

Record collector music hoarder and  DJ since the mid 80s ... 

Was resident DJ at the weekly Blast Club in Chester since summer 1988, Quadrant Park Liverpool 90/91 , Sweet Chester , Elevate Bangor   etc etc  .. Now Djing at Electrik Disko every fortnight, and throughout the summer we are in the outside courtyard area in The Commercial Bar Wrexham. Nice sound system and great location ..puurfect.
