This is the first entry in Red Axe's Shem series on I'm a Cliché which will see the Israeli duo releasing tracks geared towards the dancefloor but always retaining the one-of-a-kind approach that it distills in all its productions.

Opening with an irresistible beat and percussion samples along with warm analog synths on lead and bassline duties, this is a track indebted to afrojazz with an unmistakable house feeling but in Red Axes’ trademark style of course, enhanced by Abraõ, the lush portuguese crooner heard on several of the duo's previous productions for I'm a Cliché.

Red Axes - Balma (ft. Abrão)

With a solid rhythm section, Nu Mi is a track built around a groovy synth sequence, later joined by a bass guitar, layers of guitar pads that range from the melodic to the noisy along with treated samples. This ecstatic cut which always gets a positive response from the dancefloor is a prime example of Red Axes' ability to make club-ready tracks out of organic elements with superb results.

Acid Pauli BLD Remixes A 

Acid Pauli’s second album 'BLD' dropped earlier this year to a rapturous reception. Martin Gretschmann’s trippy opus took in various stops around the musical spectrum, yet remained committed to quality dancefloor tracks that refuse to follow any particular rule book.

This collection of remixes of the album's A side (hence the name) only adds to that achievement - bringing yet more new flavours and takes from some of the most exciting names in the underground.

'Abbebe' gets a rework from Sainte Vie who brings his trademark ‘multicultural electro’ sound to the album's opener, and produces an ecstatic mid-paced groover for the heads.

Oceanvs Orientalis drops a similarly exciting rerub, finding new angles and dimensions to the track 'Baris'.

Tel Aviv’s Red Axes turn up the psychedelica for the duo’s amazing dissection of 'Ayam' - deep sounds immersed in acidic tones and tight-yet- wonky arrangements.

Lastly 'Majid' gets the treatment from label co- head Nico Stojan who produces a sleek and spacy remix that will delight the early morning ravers.
