There are a lot of super cool stuff in the mix - love it - but paired with annoying stuff ... hehe. But that's my subjective impression and due to the different artists.

Electro June 2024

Rotterdam-based Ofra loves to share her music always and anytime, whether through an intimate listening radio show or a steamy nightclub set. A lover of Wave, Electro, Acid, New Beat, EBM, and Synthpop, she also holds a special place for Punk and Shoegaze music. Over the years she has developed her own rich music palette as a DJ and curator. Ofra's eyes and ears are extra alert when curating programs to connect artists and music lovers. In 2017, she co-founded the Rotterdam-based online radio station Operator and recently started her own label, Yarrow Ballet.

Welcome to the end of year round up from Node!
It's been one hell of a year for good music, so here's a selection including bits from all the Gated releases over the year and a load of other amazing tunes. It's not a "best of" per se, just a collection of what we've been listening to over the year that have stood out personally and also fit together pretty nicely for a varied selection of bpms and styles.

Atmospheric and brooding A-sider "Ambulance Dub" feels like the mystical union of a deadly under the radar 80's digi-dub with a long lost sci-fi synth soundtrack. Sleng Teng meets Bladerunner Uptown...Flip it over for "The Bigger Tutti" which is classic Holy Tongue at their very best capturing the stripped back DIY energy of post-punk delivered alongside a heavy as lead dub bassline which combines with the characteristically incredible percussion to create a mesmerisingly deep and funky groove.
