Für mich, weil ich sonst niemanden kenne, der ein richtiger Fan dieser Musik ist.
This playlist is regulary maintained and updated.
In March 2019 I started these playlist with 77 tracks in. The next 17 months I looked steadily for new alternative tracks with a real catchy melody to add until the limit of 500 songs in one playlist. This was reached in August 2020.  
[I have to admit that it's really hard to stick consequently to one genre that has such a wide range as the Alternative Rock has; however there are also a few crossovers from Indie, Ska, Blues, Rock, Psychobilly, Reggae, Punk, Country, Wave and Pop in between. standing for the wide range and I'm sure you'll like them too!]
By the way... from time to time it could be that  a song is replaced by a even more catchy one - and so done as said 7 month  after the list was completed I changed in 2021 at the 7th of January 177 songs and I think that's it, maybe ... ;) ... and exchanged 7x7 (49) songs at the beginning of March 2022.
Well it's 2023 now and some songs are again replaced ;)

"After five years of playing gigs Melbourne's Tyrannamen (who also feature members of Twerps and Whipper in their ranks) finally released their debut album on Cool Death Records but that pressing sold out instantly so Static Shock decided to do the honourable thing and keep this instant classic in print. The album is just 23 minutes long but every minute is worth the admission price alone. The album starts with calling card 'I Can't Read Your Mind' which is full of ramshackle yet instantly catchy punk rock but with a soulful and rock 'n' roll underbelly. We all have insecurities, even the most confident of us, over the years I've learnt that even my most odd personality traits are actually some of my most positive. So I wrote this song to say whatever you are, whoever you are, do not be afraid of your little quirks and revel in them.

Dealing with the delicate theme of break ups for this song. We've all been through them and they can be shit, well mostly in my case they have been shit, but they happen for a reason. So this tune is more about getting over those moments. Keep your head down and stand proud of who you are and don't let it get to you.

I love the quirky bouncy little riff that chugs this song along, its a bit more no nonsense and I like that about it.

Lyrically its about putting the V's up, flipping the bird and generally not giving a damn about those who talk about you when your back is turned. Yes I have made mistakes in my life, but we all have, and those mistakes are what makes you sometimes so don't hold any regrets for anything in your past, present or future.

I wrote this song about one of my ex's. No I ain't saying which one either you nosey bastards but its made such a nice big tune anyway so I thank them for that anyways.

I love the guitars a lot in this track and the catchy hook of the chorus should get stuck in your head for a wee bit.

My Moaning Lisa

Possibly a little emo this one but I'm assured its still punk rock too. I bare my soul a little bit here, this song is about reflecting on choices, mistakes and decisions I've made in my life that sometimes feel like I have eagerly pressed self destruct for not much reason at all. When I was a week punk rocker in my teens/twenties I probably got a little bit carried away with the attention and it made me selfish. I had a great time don't get me wrong but I can look back and reflect and sort of realise I could have been better at times.

This song is my promise to those who have stayed the course alongside me through various changes and my vow to them that I will strive to be better. I'm sure some people can relate to this, so hope you enjoy and take whatever meaning you want from it.
