Tracks are like memories of a particular moment in my life, a feeling of euphoria, a perfect sunset or just a nice color. Whatever the case, each one of them has a special souvenir attached to its melody in my mind. This set is filled with special moments (also many unreleased tracks). A note from the Yasin:
This mix is inspired by a painting in my childhood home representing the soul (painting is the set artwork). It’s a whirlwind of words and colors, a vision of a soul’s many faces. I tried to approach something spiritual and heartfelt, an exploration of the language of the soul - an emotional journey through learning, obstacles, grief & joy. I hope you enjoy it.

Neues Jahr, neue Musik und diesmal freuen wir uns besonders einen Mann mit exzellentem Musikgeschmack bei uns willkommen zu heissen. Seine Mixe und seine Produktionen sind vielgehört und haben über die Landesgrenzen Aufmerksamkeit erregt. 

Die Jazzplatten seines Vaters sind an allem schuld. Seither hat Daniel Imhof die Liebe für Musik nie mehr losgelassen. In dreissig Jahren hat er einen Schuhkarton voller Partyflyer zusammengespielt. Dass er Schubladen für Socken bevorzugt und weniger für Musikgenres, bewies er über zwanzig Jahre lang in der Radio Rabe-Sendung «Supernova». 

Inzwischen hat er in seinem Schlafzimmerstudio die Magie der elektrischen Spannung entdeckt und produziert auf seinen Modular Gerätschaften Musik, die irgendwo zwischen maximalen Soundscapes und minimalistischen Rhythmusmustern schwebt. In seiner neuen Rabe-Sendung «Voyage» taucht er einmal im Monat, am Sonntag von 8-10, in die Welt des Ambient ein. Dann heisst es: Kopfhörer auf. Hinlegen. Driften. Genau das empfehlen wir auch für das Mixtape, welches er exklusiv für Sinneswandel aufgenommen hat! Aber lasst Euch selbst einwickeln und entführen!

Big thankful thanks to all the people, friends and new friends that came to dance!  For me this was such a special morning - I think I never enjoyed playing a set THIS much!  ❤ I could select all the best music in the world, but if it wasn't for the people dancing on it, it wouldn't by far be as good ❤

Belgian duo Charlotte & Reinhard combine enchanted art pop with synthy indie-dance on new album

On their first album as an actual duo, the Gent-based musicians Charlotte Caluwaerts and Reinhard Vanbergen present an ambitious suite of elegant instrument-driven pop songs, parsing through the sins and virtues of our increasingly stumbling world.
 
Waltzing string-arrangements, synth arpeggios, jangling guitars, and ethereal vocals mingle and unfurl through the album’s ten tracks, arranged with both lightness and depth. Owing to the duo’s diy-styled approach and rare multi-instrumentalist craft, the result is a pop album that doesn’t quite sound like anything else out there.
 
The album is fully written and produced by Caluwarts and Vanbergen. It features performances by drummer Gert Malfliet and strings by the quartet of Saartje Demuynck, Aya Pribilovskaya, Marie-Katrien Devos Bouts and Joanna Vlaeminck. Everything else is performed by the duo.  
 
The duo (and real-life couple!) have worked together in over a decade, releasing music under bands The Happy and Rheinzand, while also collaborating on Vanbergen’s solo material.

@Kotoek joined the Love Family during our Brasil Tour in January 2018. Shortly after we discovered her amazing voice and she started performing live at our events. The logical next step was to produce own music with that voice and we tried to do our part by proposing to include one of her first tracks on our first vinyl. 

As always with us 50% of the profit of the sales from this track goes to Love Foundation, the other 50% are split between the Artists and the label.
