The Darker Side of Disco is a radioshow hosted by Reyk. In the monthly show he will showcase Disco influenced music with a darker twist. It will feature the latest releases and timeless classics from genres like Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Dark Disco, some trance vibes and everything in between.

For this episode, I’m dropping my annual Disco mixtape. This time, I went deep, deep, deep down the rabbit hole to pick out the finest tracks from the 80s and 90s, along with a few more recent gems. The result is two hours of Italo Disco that will make you crave a Campari in Rimini.

Jason Peters is a DJ, producer, and the driving force behind Roam Recordings. For over a decade, he and his label have been at the forefront of the indie dance and dark disco movement. His sets draw from 80s italo, 90s rave, and contemporary indie dance/dark disco, while weaving in rare disco cuts, psychedelic techno, and early house.

A longtime fixture in the San Francisco dance music community, Jason regularly plays for some of the city’s most respected crews and venues, including Sunset Sound System, Housepitality, Monarch, and The Great Northern. His travels have taken him far beyond the Bay, with appearances at SundaySunday, CRSSD Festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and Alfresco Festival.
