The Madding Crowd are a psychotropic Glam-Punk 4-piece from the council-neglected cauldron of north Manchester, England. They formed in 2010 with brothers Ben and Dominic Corry on vocals and guitar respectively, and their cousin Claud Corry on bass, a nucleus that has stood firm since. In 2018, after a 2-year hiatus the band returned with the mercurial Sam Smith on drums.  
Their sound is ever-changing and driven by their lives and their world. With influences from Punk, Glam, Rockabilly, 50s Pop and Psych among others, every song is different to its predecessor. That is not to say the band don't have a specific vision. Every lyric is meticulously thought out, every aspect of their aesthetic is painstakingly considered to create something beautiful. If The Madding Crowd are doing something you can bet there is a reason for it.   
The band have released four EPs - including 2016's critically-acclaimed 'The 78th Bridge on the Rochdale Canal' - 2 singles and a short film. Their new single 'You Give Us Hope' is the precursor to the compilation album 'The Mowers Dies With Them', released 9/11/18. The album is a collection of every studio recording The Madding Crowd have ever made, re-mastered by Sam and containing some never-before-heard material.  What lies ahead for The Madding Crowd is simple - all or nothing. Either way they will die in a blaze of glory, because that's just what they do.
