Purple (Ochre) Stars often gather in communal groups. Heaven knows what they're doing. Maybe starring in a jigsaw puzzle. I composed this thinking about my Swiss friends Walter and Muriel. They bought a house at the end of a quiet road near Fort Bragg because in Switzerland, you have to live in colonies (towns) and cannot live alone in the woods.

This song could refer to the average Farenheit temperature during the winter in Victoria, BC. However, the initial chord progression reminded me of a song that was written in the 1940's and typified the jazz style of that era.

Ode To Joe

My parents made me practice piano starting when I was eight. Can't say I enjoyed practicing then but if my wife didn't insist I record my music, I'd probably be in front of the keyboard for most of the day. Somehow, when I turned 40 a light just came on and I had to play. Although my background was with classical, I love experimenting with jazz/blues/new age/ambient. My goal is to create music that provides a foundation for people to do whatever they were doing but with a little non-competitive inspiration. I hope you enjoy and share my music.
