Hi, I’m Axel.
After a longer musical hibernation, I started making music again about three years ago – and honestly, it feels amazing! I’ve been hanging around on SoundCloud for about two years now, and I’m constantly blown away by the creativity, variety, and real talent to be found here.

Music is just a hobby for me – which is exactly why I have zero ambitions to make money with it. I’m here simply because it’s fun. So, a small request: Dear annoying promoters with your shady offers – please save us both the trouble, I’m not your guy. I’m not chasing follower counts, click records, or streaming millions. Sure, I’m happy when people listen – but what I value most is connecting with a few honest musicians who feel the same way I do. Quality over quantity, you know?

I play keyboards and have already had the pleasure of creating songs together with some wonderful musicians I met right here on SoundCloud – something I’d love to keep doing. For me, collaboration and exchange are a huge part of what makes music so exciting.

Tech corner, anyone? All my tracks are produced in Cubase 13 Pro. Over time, more and more VST instruments have snuck into my setup – from Spitfire and Native Instruments to Spectrasonics and more. My go-to drum sounds usually come from Toontrack, which have become the rhythmic backbone of many of my tracks. I’ll admit it: I’ve caught a bit of a collecting bug here. Sadly, it’s eating both my wallet and my hard drive space. Will it ever stop? Probably not. 🙄

Style-wise, I love exploring different genres with no limits. For me, the goal is simple: have fun, stay inspired, and keep growing creatively. And every time I stumble upon a track here on SoundCloud that really moves me – the kind of song you’d probably never hear on the radio – it feels like discovering a hidden treasure.

I’m really glad you found my channel – and I hope my music brings you as much joy as it brings me when I create it.

I started composing daily pieces and posting them onto SoundCloud at the beginning of 2013.  By posting daily I am tweaking, experimenting and developing a thought, idea or event in time.  I am endeavouring to show that there is no limit to that creative spark that lies within each of us.  So much of what we do nowadays is about instant return, I am about evolution not revolution (although each month starts with a clean slate).  Join me on my journey to 10,000 (18 May 2040!!!)

Over the years I have found the Soundcloud community to be extremely supportive and encouraging.  It’s great to have a Global Mastermind of musical adventurers.

Best described as eclectic, my style is a soothing mix mirroring my personality: mostly mellow with the occasional outburst. Although I have a background in classical piano I have always loved to create and improvise.  Since early childhood I have been trying to duplicate on the piano what I hear in my head.  Now I see how formal studies and improvisation fit together perfectly. I hope to always keep growing and learning, reflecting the beauty of Christ in all my endeavors. If I find out that your song in my 'what I like' playlist uses genAI voices or melodies without saying so, believe me, I will slap you hard and of course I will block you!

Unfortunately it has become next to impossible to distinguish between real and genAI voices. So people are telling me, why do I bother? Isn't the important thing that it sounds good? Why do I get upset about the use of genAI voices in music? 

I'll tell you why. genAI voices have been trained on thousands if not millions of hours of human voice recordings and the vast majority of that material was acquired illegally. Many people who involuntarily  'donated' their voices never saw a cent for their vocals and they will likely not get a cut of the royalties a genAI song generates.  This means by using genAI voices you, the so called AI artist, are supporting intellectual property theft, plain and simple. Driving around in a stolen Porsche may give you the attention you crave, but it does not change the fact that you didn't have the skills to make the money required to buy that Porsche yourself.


If AI generated crap-music accumulates on this and other digital music platforms listeners and *especially* musicians should ask themselves if online music production is worth their effort and if they might be better appreciated by focusing exclusively on live events and forget about the machine-infested online experience. For me the answer to this question is clear. If SC and others don't take measures to curtail machine generated junk, I am done here. (31.5.25)
