Go the Rodeo is an idea not bound by a certain sound, or specific genre. We aim to express our emotions, frustrations and passion through music, and share this with the world. We’re not trying to entertain or compete, but rather connect, and create a vibe that brings you closer to yourself and others.  
In 2018 we’ll be joining Jampacked Productions together with multiple South African and international bands in an effort to raise R1 million for the Rocking for Rhinos foundation. This gives us and you an opportunity to be a part of something bigger, and all you have to do is to come and enjoy a show or two :)

Glen Hartmann is a South African producer and songwriter who resides in London, United Kingdom. His music is dipped richly in an eclectic mix of influences, which reflect both his diverse South African cultural upbringing and his experiences in his current home of London. These influences span across pop, dance, electronic, hip hop, R&B and acoustic genres. Glen is able to write and produce in each of these styles.
 “The thriving and ever evolving music scene in our world today excites me and is like my playground in a sense. This is the place for me to discover new opportunities, try new things and really get stuck into the industry that has so much to offer”, Glen says. “There’s so much happening across the world, and there are so many people who are so passionate about making this industry work … and I think it’s quite special.”  Having been previously featured in numerous major South African publications including People Magazine SA and News 24, among others, Glen has also made appearances on TV shows such as SABC’s 'The Hectic Nine9 Show' and 'The Expresso Show', as well as receiving airplay on radio stations like 5FM, KFM and East Coast Radio.  Citing hitmakers like Marshmello and The Chainsmokers as major influences within his music, Glen is well on his way to craft a whole new musical story through the world’s diverse soundscape. For in a constantly evolving industry that is bent on breaking its own boundaries, Glen Hartmann aims to utilise his environment to craft a sound that is completely his own.

Desmond & The Tutus have been scare-crowing across the world’s stages with their unique, some might call it niche, brand of kwela-indie-punk for just on ten years. But to call it niche would be entirely missing the point, the Tutus are more shape-shifters than niche, their sound slotting comfortably between Thandiswe Mazwai and Hugh Masekela, as it did at the Soweto Heritage Fest in 2013, or between surf rocker’s Beach Party and synth mavens Gateway Drugs during the Puma Happy Holiday in summer 13/14.

The Tutus’ have also toured extensively internationally, opening on their 2009 UK tour for The Vivian Girls, The Soft Pack and Women. They played at one of the last, and legendary Optimo parties at The Sub Club in Glasgow and somehow managed to sell out their first European headliner at Vanner och Bekanta in Stockholm. They’ve also played among Johnny Clegg, The Mahotella Queens, and Blk Jks at the South African themed Rio Loco in Toulouse, France in 2010. As an intern trying to put together a blurb on deadline you could probably just say something like “Desmond & The Tutus have sold out shows all over the globe, including Japan, France, Sweden and the UK”, I mean if you don’t want to go into the whole how-do-I-trim-that-mass-of-info-down panic.
