A beautiful display of Frinda's brand of historical dancefloor heavy weight, an aesthetic that has been brewing and elaborating by virtue of her years of research throughout countless worldwide record bin assaults, co-running the "Avec Plaisir" label and throwing the "Ciao Amore Baci" parties. Her path in navigating the contemporary dancefloor scene has been truly refreshing and inspiring to follow.

London-based Greek artists and Inside Out Records bosses Stavros Potamitis, aka Stevie R, and Constantinos Parisinos, aka Parisinos join Roam Recordings with three original offerings. Both the title track, Martian Judy, and Bugs in a Hurricane are synth laden low slung jams perfect for catching a steady groove or for just zoning out. Remina keeps the theme of dreamy synths while picking up the tempo with an upbeat mood. The EP is accompanied by a sublime remix from Glasgow-based MR TC who takes Martian Judy further into dreamy acid territory.

PREMIERE: Stevie R & Parisinos - Martian Judy (MR TC Remix) [Roam Recordings]

Madd Rod's (@maddrod) curiosity has made the artist explore different soundscapes while finding his musical identity. A constant search for his sound helped him find himself and led him to the realization that music is more than an assembling of sounds: it is a reminder of the experiences he has lived through it.

Rodrigo was born in Lisbon and raised in its outskirts, inevitably influenced by this intriguing melting pot. His music granted him long residencies and performances in some of the most respected venues of Portugal, but also abroad, not being a surprise to suddenly find him playing in Greece, Germany, France, or Brasil.

Having had a prolific output for years, the artist had to create a safe home for his productions, having founded Inner Shah Recordings, which now releases artists from all over the world.

His growing catalog of over 100 original tracks and remixes has granted him releases on labels like Discotexas, Harabe, or RYNTH.

The artist is currently based in Berlin and working on his second studio album.

Jessica Bellomo lands on U´re Guay with an ode to versatility and constant evolution. Merging four powerful pieces of different styles and eras evoking the same adventurous and challenging spirit. 

Jessica Bellomo is an Italo-Argentine interdisciplinary artist based in Buenos Aires. Both her productions and DJ sets evoke an eclectic fusion of Italo disco, dark disco, house, electro, breakbeats, EBM and techno sounds. Among his most outstanding performances is the Live-act he performed at La Usina del arte in the framework of "The night of the museums 2018" where together with the feminist group Guerrilla Girlz where he performed live pieces of his own in front of an audience which exceeded 3000 people. He edited on the Beat Code, Beathey, Bodymusick, Machine Control labels (among others) and left his mark on the most important booths in Argentina (Crobar, Bahrain, Niceto club, Requiem, El dorado...). She is a member of the BY WOMANS rooster, 8 BITZ RADIO and the Techno Pop duo COLORADA LIVE.

Earlier last year Vito Roccoforte and Gabriel Andruzzi aka members of the era-defining NY post-punkers The Rapture emerged from their DFA/major label hangovers into a world of sonic wanderlust with their debut long-player ‘I Hear’ under their Mother Of Mars guise.

Emulating all that was good and great about the rhythm section of their previous incarnation but exploring corners all-new, on 'I Hear' they enlisted a third bandmate; Jaiko Suzuki, on vocals. The album ventured down different tributaries, journeying into psych, kosmische, avant-garde, fourth world and new age dreamscapes. The resulting album provided technicolour bleeps, drones, ethereal singing and a plethora of percussion interweave, like a fractal mosaic in harmonious sensorium.

Now on 'We Hear' the band mobilises rising producers, friends new and old, to remix the best tracks from the LP. First single, 'Through The’, is Natasha Bai’s magical touch, taking out into the morning light as the sun breaks over the horizon. Natasha’s sound is marked by her ambient-pop influences, transporting the listener through otherworldly universes.

Other Goodness, the Berlin based imprint returns for their fifth release later this month, with two heavyweights of underground electronic music in tow. Andrew Meecham and Sean Johnston join forces for their first collaborative release, as Unknown Genre. Meecham, the multi-aliased producer better known as The Emperor Machine comes together with Johnston AKA Hardway Bros to create two blistering originals, which arrive backed with a remix from Heavenly Recordings’ trio The Orielles.

Opening track Elevator Ride is a driving acid-heavy number, replete with dense layers of drum machines and piano stabs that reverberate off into the cosmos. The propulsive rhythms and arpeggiated synths grab a hold of you and take you on this elevator ride into another dimension. 

Cthulhu Macula on the other hand is a hypnotic slice of low-slung tribal acid. The dub-drenched track’s mantric chanting hook you in to the groove, as it builds around you, with swirling percussion and a heavy 303 bassline underpinning proceedings.

The package is rounded off with The Orielles unique take on the title track. The group considerably pull down the tempo and take the track off into ambient territory, channeling Kraftwerk to create a deeply emotive tapestry of sound, adding vocal snippets, melodica and even shoegaze guitars to the original track’s reverberated piano stabs.

Between what we feel and what we think there's a rift that mankind has been trying to bridge for centuries in order to make sense of the vast universe of things that affect us in vastly different ways on a daily basis. A dualism that has been a founding element of the French way of understanding the world around us and nurtured centuries of science and art that we now hold in the highest regard. But music manages to provide us with an amalgamation of both that is quite unique, involving the sensorial, emotional and rational dimensions of our beings by fusing everything in an irresistible flux of energy and steering it collectively is what a DJ does. By molding moods through sounds, a selector creates the desired effects on the dancefloor, fostering moments of delight that will become indelible from our hearts and minds. And this special prowess is something our guest Rigo knows quite well how to perform with richly selected and masterfully crafted mixes such as this one. They ooze of the passion that someone truly dedicated to the promotion and protection of our beloved traditions of musical enjoyment and sharing. The same he devotes to all his residencies, be it on the superbly diverse LYL Radio or the wonderfully cozy Satriale back in his native Lyon, but one that becomes especially evident in the work of his carefully curated Be There or Be Square YouTube channel.
