In a world saturated with throwaway, cookie-cutter pop, it’s a breath of fresh air to discover an artist who chooses to write from the heart and express from the depths of within.

Hannah’s debut single, ‘Unlikely Two’ is a painfully relatable pop ballad about a relationship not worth saving. It’s executed with immense passion, courtesy of her larger-than-life vocal prowess that ebbs and flows through peaks and valleys. Each word builds up to a monumental crescendo, with sparse but effective string and piano sections helping to build the anticipation of what’s coming next.

“The song is a raw, emotional conversation with oneself about the reality that a relationship simply won’t work. It’s the process of knowing it will never go anywhere, but you aren’t quite ready to let go yet.”

This is the second segment of a soundwalk I made at Nice along the Mediterranean. After starting at the rocks in front of the Hotel La Perouse, this section is from some hundread meters from there, on the Promenade, walking towards the Carrousel Roundabout. Low sounds of the sea lie as backdrop to the sound of people strolling, skateboarders, cars rushing by, the tingling of cables on flag-poles. [To Be Continued!]
