English: "I was the waves, but then I looked at them."

The sound and light installation "Ich war die Wellen, doch dann sah ich sie an." by Lambert Windges thematizes the emergence, lingering and disappearance of different states in a polyrhythmic structure.

Initiated by the dualistic interpretation of various phenomena of our lives, Lambert Windges describes in his work a perspective that seeks to observe these phenomena and at the same time tries to decouple them from their dualism through the neutral standpoint of observation. The audience is invited to embark on a hypnotic journey where the boundaries between opposites blur subtly.

"I was the waves, but then I looked at them" by Lambert Windges was written as a final project for the Visual Music course at the Institute for Music and Media of the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. The realisation of the work was supported by Prof. Dr. Heike Sperling, Marcus Schmickler, Falk Grieffenhagen and Ulla Barthold.
