YACHT—Young Americans Challenging High Technology—is a post-pop trio based in Los Angeles. They are neither young nor all American. 

YACHT are new wave radio rejects; perpetual outsiders; canny observers; dreamer-prophets who average seven years ahead of their time. Founded in 2002 in the Pacific Northwest DIY scene, they’ve since released seven full-length albums and dozens of singles and EPs, always supplementing their releases with multimedia projects and high-concept experiments. 

An unplayable compact disc, a philosophical handbook, an eyewear collection, a fragrance, an app, a 62-foot video installation: their ambition to make exceptional things is voracious, playful, and limitless. For YACHT, music is a world and everyone is invited. 

YACHT’s seventh album, Chain Tripping, which was composed in collaboration with Artificial Intelligence, was nominated for a GRAMMY Award for Best Immersive Audio Album in 2020. A feature documentary about YACHT’s work with AI, The Computer Accent, was released in 2024. New Release is the first studio album from YACHT in five years. Recorded at their home in Los Angeles, the album is a slice of sly post-pop, playfully occupying a parallel timeline somewhere between 1983 and infinity.

In a constant search for new sounds, taking inspiration from the ethnic sounds and instruments, spiritual music and melodic vocals, merging it with the style that characterizes him. Bezzen has travelled the world and accumulated a wealth of experiences and memories, which he shares through his music, taking you on adventure across time and emotions.

Bezzens sound are an excursion through a vibrant auditory terrain, where individual musical styles are not constraints, but unique pieces in a colorful, coherent mosaic of sound. 

Mauricio Lázaro aka Bezzen was born on November 2, 1981 in Bogotá- Colombia.
When he was only 14 years old he started working on his first mixes using cassettes, and influenced by the DJs broadcasted on the first independent radio stations that played electronic music in his country.
He started djing in 1996 (just a couple of years after the golden age of the house music scene began) when one of his partners in crime, Mr. T-Chak, producer and creator of Latin Lover Crew, gave him his first techouse vinyl.

He was well- known as Groove 69, who performed live in clubs such as Chacha, Penthouse, Tantra, La Sala, Theatrino, Lux, Escobar Rosas, Vinacure, En Obra, In Vitro, Cabarette, Musique, Miranda, Monitor, Metropolis, Warehouse, Magnolia, Las Moscas, La Modelo, Guarana, 6L6, Socorro, Sin City, Piso 3, Lottus; played in a couple of local festivals and became the resident dj in the legendary 3Lounge club in La Macarena, Bezzes downtown neighborhood in Bogotá.

He moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 2011.
His new style includes deep techno, electro, downtempo, melodic house, progressive house and tech house shades, setting deep and surrounding tunes creating catchy feel on the dance floor.

In Stockholm, his new home, he began playing in clubs such as Kvarteret, Laika and the fascinating Gallery 2.35:1 at Berns (among others). He has also been involved in the scandinavian underground scene  being part to Secret Sangha and Substitutet collectives, also playing in open airs and black parties, core of the electronic scene in Stockholm. He has also performed around europe during the last years.


Bezzen has been searching for a new sound, with melodies and tints influenced by his musical roots  that emerge from colombian ethnics and folklore.
