Pedro Sanmartin @pedro_sanmartin (Seven Villas, Tanzgemeinschaft) returns to Univack one year after his "Somewhere Between Us EP". The spanish producer, based in Norway shows us a beautiful pack. 3 original mixes with his  peculiar estyle, with elements from Deep House, Progressive House, Electronica, in a organic harmony that will offer a nice msuical trip to the listener.

The EP is completed with the warm and suggestive remix by the great argentinian artist Juan Deminicis @juandeminicis (Pronton, Particles), a perfect track for a sunrise or a sunset.

Juicebox Music's 62nd release sees Mike Rish's 3-track EP "The Quest", originally released in late 2021, getting a fresh breath of life with a set of remixes. The Melbourne (Australia) based artist made his debut on our imprint with his deep, yet powerful remix of Simos Tagias' "Black Swan and swiftly followed it up with a magnificient release which earned high praises & support. Mike Rish furthered his sonic mark with releases on GMJ & Matter's 'meanwhile' as well as James Beetham's 'Last Night Music'. To celebrate "The Quest" EP, we called upon Kabi, EMPHI, Haen & MONé to rework all three tracks from the EP - "The Quest", "Enter" & "Tuumla".

First up is Buenos Aires (Argentina) based artist - Lucas Khabie aka Kabi, who makes his return to the imprint after his chart-topping "Lost In Roses" EP with K Loveski. His dreamy and club-effective style caught the attention of the progressive community, namely through his body of work on Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' & Mango's 'Mango Alley', to name a few. Releasing quality over quantity, his attention to detail is evident. For his latest offering, Kabi injects his signature style into Mike Rish's "The Quest", turning it into a deep yet driving interpretation whilst retaining the magical melodic moments.

The mastermind behind Basic Channel, Hard Wax and Rhythm & Sound doesn't do mixes. For RA.1000, he made an exception.

Trace Mark Ernestus's path, and you trace the evolution of electronic sound itself. The timeline of contemporary Berlin is unimaginable without him. At first, that meant Hard Wax, the crucial hub that shaped the early era of the city's techno revolution. Carl Craig once said it plainly: "Mark was ground zero."

From there, Ernestus never stopped. There's the birth of dub techno and the near-flawless catalogue that followed through Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound. There's his immersion in Senegalese mbalax with Ndagga Rhythm Force. Lately, that means Open Ground the Wuppertal bunker that's letting people hear music as never before.

As part three of RA.1000, Ernestus has kindly supplied his first studio DJ mix. As you might expect, it's technically immaculate, but more than that, it feels like a substantial and generous conduit to one of the world's most vital genres.

Amapiano remains underexplored in music media. Publications like our own are still learning to keep pace with the South African sound's global pull, animating millions across the globe. 

You'll hear the range and richness of the genre across the near two-hour mix, from the gothic, percussive stomp of Caltetonic's "Bambela"  to the devotional glow of GemValleyMusiq's "Something Spiritual."

Through all of this, Ernestus has remained understated. He lets the music speak for him, with a quiet honesty that lies in decades of opening doors—creating the conditions for new sounds and scenes to flourish and carry the culture forward.

With the season well underway, Get Physical is hitting the ground running with the 18th edition of Full Body Workout. If case you’ve been living under a rock the last decade, Full Body Workout aims to shine a spotlight on some of the hottest rising and established talent for their take on where the scene is now, and where it might be headed. So finding tracks by visionaries like Pezzner, NIBC and Nils Hoffman shouldn’t come as a surprise. The compilation opens with a floor-moving tech-house groove from Supernova to set everything into motion. Quickly following is Pezzner with ‘Julie’, a small shift down in energy initially, only to rise to peak time levels over the course of the track. Eagles & Butterflies then shakes down the floor with a percussion driven beauty, ‘Awakening’. Nils Hoffman up next. The young German producer delivers a stunning track full of bass swells and calls it ‘Storms’. Hold out for the elegant piano lines in the break, a brilliant contrast to the dark and heavy bass surrounding it. Now we’ve reached the halfway point, and we don’t want to spoil the surprises to come from the likes of NIBC, Kevin Yost (who’s skillfully pulled of the continuous mix here as well), Savvas Ysatis & Olga Kouklaki, P41, Hawie and Ilona Maras, Sanja feat. Sutja Gutierrez.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene.
