The latest Get Physical radio show sees a takeover from Dutch DJ and producer Helsloot, who comes fresh from his debut album release.

‘Never Tried’ was released last month and saw Helsloot collaborating with Ninja Tune man Jono McCleery, Rangleklods, Malou, Tinlicker and more to create something extraordinary.

As you would expect, he has delved into the LP for some of the show's highlights, including several tracks and opening with single ‘It’s Alright’ featuring Malou. In addition, though, he has produced two exclusive new edits, just for the show, with stellar versions of WhoMadeWho’s ‘Ember’ and a not-to-be-missed remix of ‘We Get High’ by Eagles & Butterflies featuring Richard Judge.

In addition to this superb array of Helsloot sounds, we have tracks from Pezzner, Andhim and Last Men on Earth to fill out a perfectly brilliant, melodic masterclass. Enjoy!

A Night of Sand and Sound – Burning Man 2024

Burning Man is never about predictability—it’s about embracing the chaos and letting the dust write its own story.

Arodes and I were set to play a special back-to-back DJ set high above Black Rock City, floating in a hot air balloon, watching the neon veins of the desert pulse beneath us. But the desert had other plans. The wind howled, the storm rolled in, and our aerial stage became impossible.

On the campground, just in front of The Man, a different kind of stage awaited. Vintage Culture had already successfully gathered a nice crowd, a resilient tribe of dust-covered dancers who refused to let the storm dampen their spirits. Arodes and I eventually stepped up, feeding off their energy, turning uncertainty into rhythm, and letting the music cut through the swirling sand.

It was one of those nights where the connection felt deeper, where the music wasn’t just heard—it was felt. A true Burning Man moment.

This mixtape captures the energy of that night—the spontaneity, the rawness, the beauty of letting go and letting the music lead the way.

After so many years I finally got my feet on the cold sand of playa and ran to this bus I’ve been hearing about for so long. My first night and my first show. Never to be forgotten. My expectations ended up being meaningless because I was living the unimaginable. This special moment deserved my very best, so a set full of my own unreleased originals is what I played! and off to what will always be remembered as one of the most incredible experiences of my life: My first burn! A crystal like cluster of Lighthouses ranging from 6 to 60 foot tall and some leaning as much as 20 degrees. Inspired by the juxtaposition of creating a destination of fun and shelter by something that is meant to warn you of danger. This adult jungle gym aims to become a destination where participants come to seek shelter, play, meetup with friends and navigate the inland sea that is the Playa. At night the Lighthouses will truly come alive with fire, light, and a few other surprises.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene.
