This years compilation has been lovingly curated by our team to present a diverse selection, mixing the underground touch of berlin here and there, the sweet warmth of a vocal track like Alex Dimou’s, ‘This Time’, feat Black Soda, and always maintaining a careful dynamic balance and consistency throughout. Sandeman’s ‘No More Conversations’ weighs one end of the scale with a satisfying peak time thriller, alongside Roland Leesker’s own floor banger, ‘My Warehouse’. Tracks like martínek’s ‘She Bad’ operate a bit more relaxed, or ‘1141’ from George Vala, a fully functional flight into a higher realm. Robbie Akbal and Muk.ti team up and create a stellar low-down-groover, ‘Every Retreat’. Sunny open air tracks like the Daniel Dubb’s mix of ‘Everything You Got’ by m.O.N.R.O.E. are to be found as well. R+R even makes an appearance with another highly charged track, ‘L’essentiell’, keeping the tempo up in a fantastic way. Its Khen up next, the talented producer and DJ from Tel Aviv, who featured on the labels recent Sudbeats compilation, and fans of his work include Guy J and Nick Warren, and of course Mr Cattaneo.
Sense Of Time is a deep hypnotic little number, that gets under your skin, with its subtle warm melodic changes and wicked fx that add a trippy layer to this excellent track.
On remix duties we pop over to Madrid to see Luis Junior who runs for his own Mooseekaa label and has released on Bedrock and microCastle to name a few.
Luis remix adds some punch, but keeping the cool vibes and depth from the original, making the remix a spacious nice alternative mix.

German producer Paul Beller aka Ben Mono has been releasing material for over a decade now, principally via the Compost Records imprint in the early stages of his career though further notable affiliations fall in the shape of Permanent Vacation, Exploited, Gomma, Ed Banger and Strictly Rhythm. Here we see him push on adding MadTech as yet another driving force alliance, slotting him alongside Citizen, Cera Alba, No Artificial Colours and Mia Dora on the roster.

Title cut ‘Why?’ kicks things off and sees Ben Mono offer up a bass led percussive workout, laying its focus on bubbling drum hits, frenzied synth wobbles and warbling subs, while ‘Rather Kill Me’ tips the focus over to a garage tinged aesthetic with an elongated, grainy bass hook and dark stab sequences sat alongside hooky vocal chops and sporadic synth flourishes.

Russia’s Xandl then round off the package with his take on ‘Why?’ - offering up an acid tinged interpretation with squelching bass licks and a bumpy rhythmic swing.

Mid June will see Cera Alba return to the MadTech Records imprint with the ‘London To Barcelona’ EP, comprising four original tracks from the budding British artist.

Newcastle born, now London-based Liam Jones aka Cera Alba has been hard at work, plugging away as a producer and DJ to great success over the past few years, racking up releases on Moon Harbour, ViVa Music, Hot Creations, Gruuv and MadTech where he returns to here. Jones has also maintained a heavy touring schedule of late and this year will see him play shows in electronic music hot spots Berlin, Ibiza, and of course his now home turf London, 2015’s set to be a big year for this hotly tipped artist.

Kicking off the EP is ‘Barcelona’ which sees Cera Alba deliver a bass heavy, percussive number laid out over seven and a half minutes with vacillating sub hits, whirring synth drones and murmuring vocal lines meandering around a weighty rhythmic foundation. ‘She Flows’ follows and tips the focus over to sparse drum lines, bulbous bass tones and fluttering synth sequences while intricately processed vocal licks instill a smooth and soulful influence to the composition.

Opening the flip side of the EP we have ‘The Lowdown’ which brings swinging rhythms, murky low- pitched vocal hits and penetrating tom hits into the limelight, while closing cut ‘Relaxxx’ winds down the release on a low-slung tip with straight 4/4 rhythms and a groove-led hypnotic feel.

Get Physical Music Presents  Ibiza 2016 (Minimix)

Back again with another deadly package, its the mighty Sudbeat, and taking firm controls once again are label boss Hernan Cattaneo and studio partner Soundexile.
This time we are graced with Cityism, a deep hypnotic melodic housey tinged techster with layers of synths and sounds meeting fx and spoken vocal samples. The deep bass drives this along while the melodies tinkle brightly.
The seriously on form Pig & Dan step up with the first of the remixes, and strip things right back with an infectious techno groove that punches along, and then builds with drum fills and snippets of melody, and as the tension builds the melody develops - all the while keeping it solid and deep.
Richie G a definite rising talent on the scene is next on remix duties, and delivers a contagious number with distinctive pads, a moving tough yet profound bassline, vocal snippets and tight production that locks you right in. Another top remix.
To close the package is the Dub Mix from Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile who utilse the main elements from the original, but strip things back and increase the intensity while taking us deeper with its driving, almost rolling bassline.
